       b]Madison[/b]
       Gondor Underground Central Command
Meeting of the King and Joint Chiefs
The King had gathered his generals, and they had new Intel
regarding DEN's air base in Gondor. Radar had detected giant
bombers being put up in the air, and they were flying out to the
southeast. They certainly knew why. It was to strike Colombia
surely, as they had not made peace with Colombia like the NCSA
had. They didn't like what DEN was doing, and they weren't gonna
let the Namenians ruin the newly won peace made by their former
Steward Johnathan Gray. This wasn't right, and they had to stop
it. The war had to end.
Aragorn conversed with his most trusted General, Talion Eorl,
and they came up with a plan of action.
"Talion, what do we do? We need fast planes to get those
bombers. We need to stop them before they get to Colombia. I do
not want those bombers to complete their missions. We have to
       stop this madness."
"My lord, what we need is our new stealth interceptors, the R-62
arrows. They can go Mach 4 at top speed. We can catch those slow
buggers in no time. The planes can put missile locks on em and
they'll stop. But we also need to ensure that DEN doesn't strike
       us for this."
"Scramble a squadron of R-62s from Janesville. I want 24 of them
up in the air to search and find those bombers. Their orders are
to request that the Namenian bombers go back to base and cease
all operations within Gondor until further notice. Make sure
that the interceptors have those meteor missiles. Also, for
security purposes send the 2nd light infantry out of Madison
Army Base. Get 10 GAT-15 attack helicopters from Green Bay Air
Force Base and tell them to patrol the airspace above that base.
Tell them to make haste towards DEN's base and surround it.
Finally, bring up 7 S-400 SAM systems around the base from
       Madison as well."
"Brilliant plan, sir. That air sqadron and that division will be
set to their orders at once. The SAMs will as well, but perhaps
       a little slower."
"Good. What we are doing is extremely important. We do this to
end DEN's reign of power over this region. We have to do this to
preserve the peace of this union, especially after the Colombian
       surrender."
The generals gave the traditional salute, and all the orders
were radioed to Janesville and Madison.
       Janesville AFB
       Baxter Squadron, R-62 interceptors
The pilots had received their orders, and the alarms were
roaring around the base. The planes were fueled up and ready to
go, and all 24 pilots got into their planes, and took off,
engines roaring. They knew what their targets were and turned
on their powerful AESA radars to find the subsonic bombers. The
pilots revved the interceptors up to Mach 4 to catch their
targets. They had the full payload of 6 MS20 meteor air-to-air
       missiles each.
       Madison Army Base
       2nd light infantry division
Gondorian divisions consisted of 15,000 men each, and this one
was no different. Each division in the army was made up of 5
       regiments totaling 3,000 men each.
Two regiments consisted of infantry wielding TS-65 LMGs, two
with F-32 Assault rifles, and one with Javelin guided rocket
       launchers.
The troops were carried in Mack Granite Troop Carriers, with a
total of 358 trucks hauling troops. They were going to surround
that base, and make sure nothing got out.
The 7 SAM vehicles weren't far behind them, and they were
slower, caring for their precious cargoes. They would shoot down
       any funny business.
       Green Bay AFB
The 10 GAT-15 attack helicopters got their rotors going, and
knew where they were going. They had their standard combat
loadout, and their mission had been made clear to them.
Communique to DEN Air Force Base
"DEN AFB, this is Gondor Central Command speaking. Due to the
war in Colombia, your military presence in our state is no
longer welcome. We want no part in your wars and do not support
them. You are ordered to turn around all bombers and take your
troops home. Failure to comply may be met with military force.
       You have been warned."

       A telegram
To: The military and civilian leadership of the Columbia
       Confederates, and of Hightah
       From: Reichsführer-General Albrecht Dietrich zur Linde;
       Reichsführerin-SS Reinhilde Habich;
Reichsmarschall Wilhelm Kirkland, commanding all forces in the
       Hightah/Columbia theater of operations
We are most delighted to see that you have seen reason and
decided to prevent further unnecessary loss of life by
continued, fruitless military action against the Reich and its
allies, and sincerely hope that such conflict may be avoided in
       the future.
To that end, in the pursuit of a lasting peace, and the enduring
freedom and prosperity of our peoples, we expect nothing less
than unconditional surrender, and look forward to a meeting
where we may present you with a final peace treaty, which will
       dictate the terms thereof.

Hightah, Columbia border, Reich armeegruppe forward base of
       operations
After a measured pursuit of the Columbian resistance that ended
with the seizure of the rocky heights above their initial
position, whence the Columbian ambush had originated, along with
the air operations in close support and for the neutralization
of border defenses, some two hundred casualties amongst the SS
divisions, their Wehrmacht support personnel, and Luftwaffe had
been tallied. Reichsmarschall Kirkland, upon news of the
apparent Columbian capitulation and in absence of any sign of
another counter-attack, ordered a unilateral cease fire and a
halt at the current Reich line, although five SS divisions had
arrived in the vicinity, and the Werhmacht continued to advance
       in their wake through Hightah.
((OOC: To be clear, just occupying a lower ridge, not Sinai hill
proper, in wake of the initial Columbian attack falling back. I
realize the hill is still held by Columbia and they're ready to
       defend it.))

       Colombian Shore
"What the hell is goin' on out there?" Said the Admiral Franklin
Butcher. "What in the world?" He looked out as he saw DEN troops
ready to approach the shore. "What the hell? Okay, okay, sir, I
want you to warn the rest, send the message, I want cannons
ready, and I want one submarine deployed, get them ready."
"Yes, sir" said the messenger boy. Admiral Butcher thought it
was over. He knew he had to protect Port Davis at all costs. It
was the line. He knew he would have people on his side though.

       DEN
       Gondor
       Fort Gondor, DEN AFB
       Bomber Squadrons heading to Columbia
"Red leader, this is AFB Gondor. We're picking up 25 blips on
the radar. Please confirm with your infrared." The squadron
leader's radio blared in the cockpit. They were only a few dozen
miles outside of the base, and were still climbing up into the
atmosphere. The pilot looked down and frowned at his screen,
watching the infrared scanners looking over the skies. It was
exactly as AFB Gondor said it was. There was a large group of
interceptors taking to the skies behind them as they flew.
"AFB Gondor, this is Red Leader. We confirm, 25 blips incoming.
Looks like interceptors." Red Leader replied, and notified the
other pilots in the squadrons. He looked out the window and
swore. They were literally covered by the enemy from top to
bottom. "Wing, decrease power. We're staying within AA range of
       Fort Gondor."
"Sir, we've got an issue down here." Red 21 reported from his
bomber. He was turning to keep within range, and looked down
onto the ground below him. From the birds eye view he had, the
man could've seen everything that was going on. "Red leader, I'm
seeing a beeline of troops, sir. Fort Gondor's getting
       surrounded."
"Roger that. Hang around, Red Leader. We may need your support.
We're sending up fighters as we speak." The officer back at base
replied, and closed the communications between the two. The
bomber squadrons turned to stay within AA range of the four
combat FLaK towers at the large base, and entered a fixed turn.
       DEN
       Gondor
       Fort Gondor AFB
       Army Group F, 1st Army, 1st Division
"Warlord, sir. We've got a report coming in of soldiers
surrounding the base, and a report of aircraft on an
interception course for our bombers. Aircraft report 20, 25
interceptors on intercept course." One of the officers reported
to the commanding officer. He brought up the radar signals,
which was being monitored by another person. He was gathering
intelligence from the other members in the area, then stopped.
"Sir, communications with the bombers confirmed the reports.
Twenty five interceptors are in pursuit of our aircraft."
"God damn. Get the station on alert. Something fishy is going on
here." The Warlord replied, and sighed, holding his head in his
hands. He thoguht for a moment. "Get everyone into their
positions. Someone get me a line to the speaker on the towers."
       *****
The runway was a blur with troops moving everywhere, and with
aircraft taxiing onto and off the runway. Twenty ASFs were being
prepped with medium to short range weaponry, and then sent into
the air. Most of what they carried when they went into their
interception course was actually short range air to air
missiles, perfect for a condition like this.
The base itself ignited after the order was given. Every single
FLaK tower, all sixteen, were being manned and garrisoned by the
soldiers, with the radar domes scanning the sky to help augment
the guns and air to air missiles in their VLS modules. Every
single gun was now pointed towards the advancing soldiers
       DEN
       Columbia
       Landing on the shores
DEN 1st and 8th Division, 6th Spetznaz Army
The landing craft reached the shores as the artillery
bombardment stopped, making it through the foamy seas while
bobbing up and down. The hovercraft hit the shores once they
entered the enemy territory, dropping down their ramps and
letting out the 8th Division's 1st Mechanized brigade onto the
sandy beach. 100 T-15 heavy transports roared out of the twenty
or so landing craft, their engines roaring. With them was twenty
M-62 Werewolf Heavy MBTs, the Heavy Tank company of the Armored
Battalion. Through the roar of the engines, the smoke of the
invasion, and the thunder of guns, they began to advance.

       ---------------------------------------------------------
Columbia border, Reich armeegruppe 'Sinai' forward command post
Reichsmarschall Wilhelm Kirkland paced, hands folded behind his
back, before a table spread with maps and reports. His bunker
had been dug deep into the Reich -- or Hightah -- side of the
ridge abreast of Mount Sinai, at great pains by the Wehrmacht's
Pioneeren considering the rocky soil. It was lit by oil lamps,
electrical cables yet to have been brought up, and by his
command that petrol not be wasted unnecessarily on mobile
       generators.
Flanking him were a selection of about a dozen gruppenführers,
standartenführers, generals and obersts of the SS and Wehrmacht,
representing the various divisions not left to guard the main
force's flanks and rear, or to ensure that Hightah was
well-occupied and no resistance could emerge. They studied the
charts and disposition of forces intently whilst smoking and
sipping glasses of schnapps or brandy. A secretary and signals
officer sat attending at small folding desks, with transmissions
equipment -- that, of course, being powered by a humming
       generator, of pure necessity.
The immaculate and strikingly-decorated uniforms of the
officers, and their stern, professional, made a stark contrast
       to the relatively shabby surroundings.
At length and with a sigh, Kirkland spoke: "Meine Damen und
Herren: As expected, we have received no reply from Columbia
regarding our demand for surrender. As you are aware, they have
made peace with the central government of the Confederacy, but
that does not mean peace with the Reich, and we are obliged to
either negotiate it ourselves, or continue to fight. I do not
need to tell you that withdrawal is not an option, quite
regardless of the orders of the Reichsführers to that effect.
This is now about the honor of the Reich, and its soldaten, and
       der Volk.
"But to the first order of business: Three new Führerdirektives
       have been issued.
"First, Hightah is to be placed under the military
administration of the Wehrmacht, for the time being. The Second
Wehrmacht Motorisiertedivision is to be responsible for ensuring
order and martial law. All armed resistance is to be dealt with
ruthlessly, all arms confiscated, and partisans and their
supporters who may be apprehended are subject to summary
execution. However, collaborators and sympathizers of the Reich
are to be rewarded generously with food, medical supplies, and
monetary compensation for any losses they may incur, and the
most enthusiastic should be awarded positions of local
       authority.
"Second, SS-Panzerdivision 'Hammer' is to be granted the new
honorific 'Michael Wittman', in the hope that it may live up to
       his heroic example."
At this, a gruppenführer in the stark black of the
SS-panzerkommando stood to attention and gave a sharp Roman
salute. "Das ist unsere Ehre, Herr Reichsmarschall! We will not
disappoint if and when the time comes!"
Kirkland simply gave the commander's salute and nodded his head
       respectfully, before continuing.
"Finally, all armed forces of the Reich will cooperate to
whatever extent possible with any other forces engaged against
Columbia. They are not be engaged in combat under any
circumstances and, for the time being, their goals not
contested, though we shall continue to pursue our own strategic
       objective.
The assembled officers saluted in unison with an enthusiastic:
       "Jawohl, Reichsmarschall!"
       ***
       "Now ..." Kirkland looked to the woman at the signals station;
"... Emily, I would like you to attempt to send a message to the
Columbian commander once more. Please begin:
"Reichsmarschall Wilhelm Kirkland, commanding all Reich forces
arrayed against the State of Columbia and its armed forces,
would like to request, trusting in your honor, safe passage to
receive a personal audience with the military commander of
Columbian forces on Mount Sinai. Stop. He wishes only to present
the Reich's terms for the cessation of this conflict and lay the
foundation for a peace treaty. Stop. He will allow a grace
period of twenty-four hours for a response, and, thereafter,
regard the Columbian forces to be in defiance and refusal of
negotiation. Stop. The Reich has generously and unilaterally
ceased fire upon you, and halted its advance, which hope you
will take as evidence of good faith. Stop. We would deeply
regret a resumption of hostilities and pray, in the name of the
souls that have been lost, and may yet be lost, that we will
receive a prompt reply. Stop and end transmission.
Please repeat that at two-hour intervals over several bands, if
you would, Emily, until this time tomorrow."
