The present situation of the AR:
War has been declared on Columbia, and troops and materiel are
being concentrated on the Eastern border of Hightah in
preparation for an advance. The leaders of the Reich would
likewise like to meet with the leaders of Appalachia and (though
we have a diplomacy thread ongoing) Turkducken; teleconference
or call would be fine.

In an emergency session, the Hirilian Parliament has decided to
remain non-interventionist in this conflict, however states that
any nation or nations that threaten the sovereignty of our
country will face retribution in spades.

Whereas, peaceful diplomatic actions have failed to show any
progress in resolving the dispute; and
Whereas, the Eastern Byzantine Empire, under the guidance of His
Grace, pledged our allegiance to the NeoConfederate States and
its Government therefore; and
Whereas, the Nations of Confederate Columbia, Sparta, and their
allies have openly defied the Government, the Confederacy, and
its Constitution, to which he have pledged our loyalty to, has
resulted in the outbreak of armed conflict.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Parliament assembled,
by the Grace of His Majesty, hereby:
1. Approve of a State of Emergency and delegate all Emergency
power therefore to His Grace and his Goverment.
2. Openly declare a State of War between the Nations of
Confederate Columbia, Sparta, and their allies and The Eastern
Byzantine Empire.
"Right Honorable Members, the motion for today as written on the
order paper is the 'Eastern Byzantine involvement in the NCSA
Civil War'. I call the Leader of the House."

The Confederate State of Turkducken would like to formally
establish diplomatic ties with the Eastern Byzantine Empire. His
Excellency would like to discuss economic and militant goals
between the two States.

"Well boys are you ready?" The Captain asked over the bomber
intercoms.
"Yes sir! Let's do this." The answer was.
"Release the payload then boys!"
10 GBU-43's descended to the ground spread out across the city.
The blasts combined would devastate the city and kill many
civilians and soldiers alike. As soon as the bombs were dropped
the other ten bombers dropped their 5 guided bombs which fell
towards the Government building. Then the other five bombers
dropped their cluster bombs spread throughout the military
targets in the city to top it off. All of the bombers however
made sure the harbor area was unscathed. The Federal Army would
need that.
The men in the bombers and fighters watched the destruction they
had caused. It really was an awful thing to fight against one's
old allies. But the UCA has strayed from the path and now Sparta
made sure they would be brought to justice. This was Sparta's
Sherman's March to the Sea.
*West Phoenician Waters*
As soon as the bombs hit and the men saw the explosions they
opened fire firing cruise missiles and Tomahawk Missiles at any
enemy naval units in the area. The submarines were patrolling
around the fleet almost like sheepdogs keeping the fleet safe.
Once the missiles were fired all of the fleets heavy guns began
pounding the city, or what was left of it, making a line of fire
that surrounded the harbor so it would be suicide for any
surviving West Phoenician militant to escape.
*LSVPs*
The landing devices hit the ground and men poured out. They ran
into the harbor and spread out ready to open fire on any
opposing force if any. As soon as the harbor was clear the
soldiers would spread throughout the city until the city was
taken.
*Communique to Albert Dawning and President Gray*
"Hello my friends this is King Spartacus. I hope myy little act
didn't fool you gents. Right now I am getting word that the
attacks on New Tudor was a resounding success. I'm sad to say
that we expect civilian casualties to be quite high, but I
believe in order to end this war quickly this was needed. The
harbor is intact and currently Spartan soldiers are maneuvering
to gain control of this harbor. Mr. Dawning, I believe it is
safe for you to deploy the Federal soldiers into this harbor as
it is open for you to work out from. You may wish to also inform
your Namenians counterparts that we are on your side in reality
and that their fleet in the Gulf can use the harbor and deploy
soldiers to help us to take down West Phoenicia. I also humbly
request that you allow my boys attacking right now to accept the
surrender of West Phoenicia when it comes on behalf of the
NeoConfederate Government. I also request that we be allowed to
put in the terms that Sparta is allowed a base on the coast of
West Phoenicia. I thank you and my leading General at the
attack, General Washington, is awaiting your arrival but may
need reinforcements soon!"

The President has ordered the creation of The Ministry of War
Preparedness, this is to prepare the civilian population for the
upcoming possible war and to assist commercial civilian
businesses to adjust to the new war economy. This Ministry will
also, eventually, be responsible for counter-terrorism
operations and research along with internal security in times of
war.
In other news the use of war hounds is being considered by the
President, this idea was proposed by the General of the 5th Army
of Conquest Richard "Cain" Kasich. General Kasich is considered
a radical among the President's war council and is considered
"obsessive" with internal security and attempting to compensate
for Turkducken's lack of military resources and overall "low
budget" spending.

In a 38-12 vote, the Frijstaater parliament agreed to denounce
the actions of the Spartan government as a result of its sneak
attack on the peaceful nation of West Phonecia. The
denouncement calls for immediate cease-fire and for both sides
to come to the table to discuss a peaceful resolution to this
senseless act of violence. Frijstaat warns its fellow NCSA
states of the dangers posed by Sparta and its rogue government,
while simultaneously urging for diplomacy to prevent the loss of
more lives.
The news of the denouncement by the Frijstaater parliament, is
seen as a divisive issue among the Frijstaater population. Many
see the vote as meddling in the affairs of others, while others
see this as standing for the legitimate rights of other nations
and peoples. Regardless, weapons sales have increased
dramatically throughout the country, and the populace has begun
to prepare itself in the event of an attack from beyond its
borders.

WPAF Base Ashkelon-New Tudor
The sound of air sirens wailed across the city-state of New
Tudor. In the close distance a sound of continuous fire could
be heard. The base became a flurry of activity as pilots and
personnel scurried from their barracks.
Wing Commander James Gaye in the Ashkelon Headquarters grabbed
the intercom after getting off the phone.
50 years old he could pass for 40 with his tough daily exercise
regime and no nonsense attitude he was one of the brasses
favourites for getting the job done.
"This is not a drill ladies. I repeat this is not a drill. Get
your asses in those ****pits. We are being attacked. "
He took a step back to view through the window. The city of New
Tudor City was blowing smoke into the air. Heaven knew what was
going on down there.
He did a mental calculation his base was home to
* 6/7/8 Squadrons-F-3 Lightning II
* 2/3 Support Squadron
* 4th Medical support Squadron
* 7th Support Squadron
* 13th Squadron F22 Raptors
"Send up the 13th Squadron of Raptors and the 6th Squadron of
Lightning II" he screamed through the intercom. "7th and 8th
sqaudon of Lightning protect the vicinity. Blow whatever is
doing this into the afterlife."
"Sir we have further intelligence. Its Spartan a Squadon leader
said as they were on another phone as personnel around them
sprang into action. It seemed hours passed before the sound of
engines could be heard. Screams and orders being yelled outside
by officers.
"Get me Col. Emanuel De Crestview on the phone. " we need boots
on ground."
*West Phoenicia waters*
West Phoenicia Naval Base Nephthys:
Location: New Tudor
A West Phoenician Corvette blew, its metal spraying into the
ocean as it was hit with two Spartan cruise missles. "Abandon
Ship" was screeched as the Corvette begun to get licked up by
the water.
Sirens sounded on the The Kamrusepa, one of the hospital ships
that was docked. Medical staff scurried to flee the ship as it
was hit by 2 tomahawk a cruise missle. Explosion rocks three
parts of the ship with the initial blast killing many on board.
Three of the West Phoenician Destroyers begun firing a flurry of
cruise missles at the enemy vessels that were just outside the
harbour. The water fizzled as they zoned in on their targets. As
their captains barked orders and radioed for assistance for
nearby city state naval bases. This was a nightmare they never
saw coming.
2 of the four Frigates armed there RIM-7 Sea Sparrows ready for
defence while a third took a direct hit.
While the fourth launched a shelling mission at the hitting
enemy soldiers as they scurried out of the Lsvd's
* In the Air*
Target in sight a pilot in a F22 Raptor radioed as it sent off a
AIM-120 AMRAAM that glided across the air heading for the tail
section of one of the enemy bombers.
* New Tudor City*
Cries and screams could be heard from civillians as they fled
the carnage of spraying bullets. It would be days before an
offical tally of death would be announced.
WPAF Base Ashkelon-
Wing Commander James Gaye lit a cigarette as he viewed a third
Squadron of Lightning II fliy out. He had been unale to get fhe
General of the army base on the line. Reports had already come
in that the army base had taken numerous hits. There was also no
word from New Tudor Military HQ. He wondered if it still stood.
His only relief that other bases around the state had been
alerted. The Cavlary was coming.

Appalachia agrees with Turkducken and the Reich to hold
discussions. President Sharpe's office has been wired up for a
video conference, though he sends word he is willing to meet in
person.
