OK, I think we probably have enough members that we can try to
form a full government now, so let's have a Presidential
Election. This will only be a partial term though but the winner
will be able to run for another term to Start July 1st. Just
fill out the form below if you want to run. Only one candidate
per state please.

I'm going to close sign ups for the race now. I'll put the poll
up on the 18th for the election. In the meantime I'd like to do
a "town hall debate". Give region members a chance to ask the
candidates question. Remember though the questions need to be at
least polite. I'll open.
To all the candidates, name one thing you would like to achieve
during your term of office and how you plan to achieve it.

I plan to reduce tension between states, as I have been noticed
increasing amounts of conflict between states. Because of these
conflicts, trade and cooperation between states has been at all
time low, ruining the economy. However, if we were to cooperate
and work together, we could achieve much more as a nation, and
as states. I would also like to make the nation slightly more
left-wing, making the gap between rich and poor less wide.

If elected president, my main goal would be to further our
embassy programs and establish ambassadors in other lands. We
would further our stance on NS as a defensive community to rid
the place of raiders. In addition, my focus would be on state
sovereignty in all points, as well as creating a sustaining
system of economics in the region. Overall, my top priority is
the safety of civilians and members of this community, as well
as their happiness here. People whom I elevate to necessary
positions of power will be chosen on merit and character, not on
their relationship to me. A person I hate who could be a good
Sec of Int would be chosen because he is good at the job.
Furthermore, under my leadership, mob like rule such as that in
the old NCSA is impossible. At every step of the way, I will
watch diligently for corruption. The corrupt and illegal will be
expelled from my offices, and I will prosecute them to the
fullest extent of the law.

As this is supposed to be a role play centered region what
recommendations would you make to achieve greater participation
in roleplays and more high quality ones?
