Re: The Colombian Retaliation

As the federal officers retreat to the vans, surrounding share
croppers begin to open fire alongside the soldiers. General
Pollux arrives on the seen and is given a brief by a radio
operator. Pollux gets on his horse and draws his pistol saying
"God Bless our Souls". He marches up to the "Patriot Unit", a
well equipped martial team. He yells in a crowd of confused
workers and soldiers telling them "Take the arms now! FIGHT FOR
US!" The soldiers as well as some share croppers begin to charge
the vans.
In Turkducken, Preston (unaware of the events in Jericho), is
about to enter a meeting with the President.

Upon entering the meeting room Governor Preston sees the
President of Turkducken and the President of the NCSA sitting
together at a table carrying on a idle conversation and enjoying
a morning coffee. Seeing the Governor enter the room the
President of Turkducken stands up and walks towards the
Governor, hand outstretched in welcome he greeted the Governor.
"Greetings Governor, would you like some refreshments?"

"Yes very much sure, maybe it would be too much of my southern
upbringing to prefer a sweet tea instead of coffee" he laughs.
He embraces the Turkducken president saying "Its good to meet
you my old friend."

The President walked in, and smiled. "Greetings, Governor
Preston, Your Excellency President Faraday. What do we need to
discuss?"

"Whatever you wish to discuss. I don't mean to interrupt your
idle discussions, but an old fellah like me needs something to
put a fire under his arse, so I'll let y'all lead the way."

The President Stood up, and began to slowly pace back and forth
for a good minute or so, and then the sat back down, ordering a
coffee from one of the attendants nearby. He didn't put too much
thought into the order because his only thought was getting a
drink to stay alert. He looked Governor Preston in the eye, and
began to speak his mind.
"With all due respect Governor Preston, I do believe that the
issue of nullification that your state is presenting is a highly
illegal one as I said in my press release statement the other
day. I will not tolerate rebellion and insurrection in this
great nation, for I fear it would lead to a repeat of the Civil
War, which would cost untold lives. But let me put you at ease.
One of the laws you nullified isn't even law, which was the one
that regarded nuclear weapons. So that is a non-issue. But as to
the law about Confederate agents that you want to nullify, I
honestly do not see the point. If you would but read the bill,
it only allows government agents to enter a state if someone has
committed a national offence, or if there is terrorism.
Nullifying a law is a national offence, and the only reason that
the CBI is in your state is because of that. Also, when it comes
to CBI bases, under law we cannot force you to let us build
anything. The bill even acknowledges the sovereignty of the
states and their ability to enforce their own laws. So pray
tell, what is the issue?"

Preston sits down with his cup of sweet tea and daringly looks
in the eyes of President Gray. "National offence or terrorism,
huh? What is a national offence? Who isn't to say what is and
what ain't." He looks away for a moment and says "I fear that it
is too far gone, too far late for anything. I'm 81 years old now
Mr. Gray. I've seen my share of horror. And I don't intend on it
happening today or any day at the hands of the clueless." A
soldier begins to approach Governor Preston, he leans in and
hears the news in a whisper. He shockingly looks back up at
President Gray, not telling of what has happened. "What are the
options then? We don't wish to leave, we comply by laws, we've
supported laws here and there, its just a few that we find,
uhm..." he tries to think quickly. "Mr. Gray how old are you
now?"

The President's government cell phone rang, and he answered.
"Who is this?"
[/quote]
"This is Officer James Rider, of the CBI unit dispatched to
Columbia. We are under heavy attack by military and civilian
forces! We are under attack! Requesting immediate
reinforcements!" He shouted out between gunshots. He was looking
over the edge when a bullet shattered his window, spraying glass
behind him. He swore, and looked over at the officers. They were
bravely holding the line, though their amount of people were
dwindling. Four men were shot from the rounds, and three were
dead, lying on the ground. The other was grazed in the forehead.
"All units, open fire! Snipers, take aim at their officers!"
As the soldiers ducked in and out of cover behind their cars,
the sporadic sound of 9 mm SPG fire was heard ripping across the
plain into the enemy, who they knew was not in cover. Anyone
approaching them would've been immediately shot.
((Alright, can we do real RP, with small squad tactics? I wanna
get in depth with this one.))

OOC: YES let's do this shit :D
IC
General Pollux looks over to the man on the radio, he points and
asks to open fire immedatly on the van. "See the kid over there,
poor guy...hit him." They begin to aim. Pollux rides down in a
gully by some bounty troops. "Hey y'all ready? I want you up on
the back, come through around the river, we've got Spartans
coming in soon, I want the riverway blocked." Joseph Wales, a
bounty troop, says "yes, sir". The Colombian troops continue to
push up as war blimps are seen in the horizon. Pollux chuckles
in a drunken stoop "Boys, I've been waiting to take out some
black coat scum for a long ass time!"
Current Positions: around 1000 troops were stationed in Jericho,
roughly 200 are marching towards the vans. Others are guarding
property and awaiting order. A group of bounty troops (around 10
people), lead by Joseph Wales head to the river for a blockade.
Casualties thus far are roughly 4 Colombian officers and 20
farmers who engaged in the battle.
