Assassination Attempt on President North

***BREAKING NEWS***
"We are live at Landfall National Medical Center, where the
President was just rushed in following an attack. We'll go back
to show you what happened-"
The clip cuts back, showing the President walking out of a hotel
in downtown Landfall. As he's about to step into his car, shots
ring out, and screams follow. Several agents drop dead, and the
President is pushed inside before the camera can see if he was
hit.
"We have confirmation that the President was hit at least once
by the gunmen, and is in ICU as we speak. More information will
come as we learn of it."

Sparta announced that a long time prisoner named, Huey Lincoln,
was responsible for the attack. Lincoln, a Special Forces
sniper, was put in jail after he tried to murder his entire
squad while on a mission. Lincoln is highly trained and probably
carries a number of weapons. He is highly dangerous and will
kill mercilessly. Sparta offers the help of the Gladiators to
find him and take him in custody.
In Secret
Lincoln sat inside a building under construction watching
through his scope at the plaza below. A security guard was tied
up to a pole and gagged behind him. He slowed his breathing and
opened fire below. His shots were aimed at civilians walking
below and he knew he hit all his targets. It was too easy almost
like hunting. He quickly disassembled his gun, picked up the
shell casings. He turned to the security guard and shot him with
a silenced pistol in the head. He then left and entered a black
van heading into the city away from the chaos he created heading
towards a local appliance store.

About an hour later, a full disclosure of the President's
injuries were released:
He was hit twice; one bullet passed clean through his chest,
just missing his heart and lungs. The other ricocheted off the
President's car and lodged itself in his liver.
The President is currently under surgery, and doctors have
feared they will need to perform a full organ transplant.
3 Secret Service agents were killed in the attack, two wounded.
A security guard for a local company was also found dead in a
nearby garage.

Emperor Maximus called a press conference together the same day
of the events, and had addressed them in front of the entire
NCSA. The reasoning was simple. The recent attempt on the life
of President North, the leader of a nation that DEN has recently
become very friendly with had prompted some security questions,
as well as some questions on a response. When asked how DEN felt
about a Spartan being responsible for the events, as well as
what the Spartans want to do, and even what his response would
be, he was quoted with saying this:
[quote]The Spartans, or rather a Spartan, is behind it? I am not
surprised. It was only a matter of time before they decided that
mass murdering from nuclear weapons should be replaced with
political assassinations. Do I want the man captured? Yes. I do.
Do I want the Spartans to capture him? No. I do not. I cannot
sit back and let the Spartans march into a nation not only
containing a military base of DEN, but also a nation that we
have allied in. I do not think they would capture and prosecute
this man. No, if I had to guess, I would say that Emperor Xerxes
would give him a medal for his efforts. That's why we can't let
the Spartan Menace spread.
We will respond. And we will respond by first asking what we can
do. And how we can help. I know we have many counter terrorist
units in DEN, and many specially trained soldiers. Perhaps,
then, we can capture this person along with Enduranca, and
execute him as he should've been. No man escapes a Spartan
prison and then travels across the country to murder one
specific man. No, this is nothing more than a Spartan Terrorist
attempt. And I will be doubling my own security in light of
this. It will only be a matter of time before someone comes
charging after my head.[/quote]

In Secret
Lincoln had arrived at he local appliance store and he bought
several items that could be used to make a bomb as well as nails
and a bookbag. He left and checked into a local motel near the
supermarket and set to work. He was building 4 small bombs that
would be filled with nails to maximize damage. His plan was to
set it off in the nearest police department.
After nearly two hours of work the bomb was completed. He drove
quickly to the supermarket and he entered it. He asked to go to
the bathroom and set one of his bags outside of it and the other
in a random aisle on the shelf hidden by merchandise. He bought
a box of candy and left. As he left he dialed 911 and tossed the
disposable phone in the trash can. He sat outside the building
across the street in his car and awaited the police to arrive.

OOC: You realize police are trained to recognize that you've got
bombs? Why would you walk in with a backpack that's full, go to
the bathroom, set them down, walk out of the bathroom (By the
time he finishes the paperwork there's probably already been a
few people in the bathroom, and if you're setting it next to the
MAIN counter it's even WORSE) with a less full backpack? That's
just actually really obvious. No, see, the way you want to go
about it is with a timed weapon. Don't call it, as you've got to
wait waaaaay too long for that. Just drop the backpack where you
left it, and use a remote detonator. Much easier, and you get
much more people killed. Or, even better, bake them a cake with
an ammonal land mine in it :P

An updated has been given on the President's condition: he is
stable, and recovering from a lengthy surgery. The first bullet
passed clean through without much damage, although the second
one resulted in total liver failure, prompting an immediate
transplant.
The President is taking appointments, but not members of the
media.

A 911 call was made to a local center. When no details were
given, the call was ignored and considered a wrong number.
