President Sharpe led his guest into the estate, and instructed
his aides to carry in the luggage. He pointed down the hall to
his left, "This will be you and your staffs accommodations
during your stay. If you find yourself in need, just ask the
head of staff, Robert. Robert, the man hovering a few feet back,
beamed at being mentioned, and bowed. "If you'd like to settle
in and rest, you are welcome to, or we could begin now."

OOC: If I do anything wrong please tell me, I am somewhat new to
this
Sharpe laughed, "Of course." He led his guest into his office, a
well furnished room. Sharpe headed for his desk and waved at the
chair in front of it. He took a seat, and placed his arms folded
onto his desk. The desk was finely made, and well worn. "I have
to thank you again for coming, truly, you do us a great honor.
Shall we begin?"

OOC: Your pretty stellar to be honest.
"Yes let's." He cleared his throat and began anew, "Now the
first matter is rather presumptuous and I would wager quite an
ordeal to complete. But I would personally like to inquire about
a joint development of Infrastructure between our States. I
believe because of our geo-economic interest with each other
that it would only be beneficial to construct some kind of
Inter-State between our States. I would recommend tracks of
rail, as it is the most able construction to be done through the
great Appalachian mountains."

OOC: Thanks, I've never done this kind of RP so I was not
entirely sure.
President Sharpe nodded, "I can see how it would be mutually
beneficial. Our internal infrastructure is poor but we make do,
when it comes to international movement, well that's another
story entirely. I'd very much like to see it improved. These
mountains we call home are the gateway to the west for overland
travel and trade, and we stand a lot to gain if goods are
shipped through our nation rather than around it. The real
challenge is the mountains themselves. It's very difficult to
carve through them, though it can be done. I can have my people
coordinate with yours to link the lines. I'd certainly want to
pursue that."

"While this news is welcome, we must accept the risk involved.
Long term construction with Heavy Machinery and Explosives is
dangerous work. People will die with this construction, and as
leaders we both have to accept this." He was solemn in his
words, accepting a grim reality.

"Rarely is something gained without loss. I believe the risks
can be brought to a minimum however. As you know, we have one of
the best mining industries in the region. I can contract mining
companies to construct these railways through the mountains, as
they have the experience and equipment to do it as safely and
quickly as is possible. I'm sure they could be lent to your end
as well."

"Although this will be a symbol of cooperation between us, I
think we should operate the construction individually. Share the
burden so to speak."

way, what else would you like to discuss?"

He considered that for a moment and began again, "I ask two
questions, what are your exports in terms of availability and
what is your total combined armed forces?"
