Appalachia formally invites the Confederacy of Turkducken to New
Greenbrier

President Waylon Sharpe of Confederate Appalachia sends a formal
invitation to the Confederacy of Turkducken to visit the capitol
of New Greenbrier. President Sharpe is eager to discuss the
future of our two great nations. His Excellency or his
representatives will be accommodated in the finest lodgings
available, and under the protection of the elite Ranger Corps of
Appalachia. President Sharpe sends his best, and asks his
Excellency to honor our nation with his presence.

Half of the trip is by locomotion, the President impatiently
awaits for the Volunteers to arrange transportation. The travel
over the mountains is long and uncomfortable, "**** these cars."
The President thought to himself. New Greenbrier was in the
distance, and he was ready to arrive.

President Waylon Sharpe awaited with the reception at the train
station. As the lumbering beast ground to a stop, Sharpe
signaled the band to begin playing the Turkducken national
anthem. A crowd had amassed, eager to see the two leaders meet.
The Ranger Corps honor guard stood stoically in their dress
uniforms, clutching their service rifles.

The President disembarked from his vehicle and approached
President Sharpe, with a smile and an extended hand. "It is an
honor to meet you Mr. President."

President Sharpe clasped the outstretched hand and firmly shook
it. "Likewise, your excellency." He smiled broadly and turned to
the cameras to allow the newspapers at least one good shot, and
then gestured to the limousine bearing the seal of Confederate
Appalachia. "Shall we? It's a short drive to the President's
Mansion, and I've instructed the driver to take the scenic
route, allowing us to see some of Appalachia's natural beauty."

The Ranger outside gave the signal, and the convoy was off. Soon
it was out of the city, and driving into the tranquil
countryside. Soon, they pulled into the estate, a massive white
building built in the Greco-Roman style. President Sharpe
exited, and held the door open for his guest.

Exciting the limousine the President recognized how beautiful
the Estate was, "This puts the palace back home to shame." He
thought, and waited to be escorted inside.
