Namenian Air and Space Administration

---------------------------------------------------------
With the recent construction and completion of the launch site
SL-1, and the beginning of two more launch sites, SL-2 and 3,
NASA has announced that they will be starting to plan a mission
to the moon, and then one to mars in the future. They will also
be constructing a Shuttle under the Buran Space Program, which
will include unmanned missions to space, as well as
revolutionary technology. Furthermore, the development of
nuclear thermal rockets has begun, and will be replacing current
rockets on large ships.

The BURAN shuttle system, named the NSS SH-101 Major Tom, in
honor of the man that was first sent into space, was delayed for
launch today, due to small issues in the nuclear thermal rocket
which was prepped for the launch. The crew, which consists of
five members of the air force, did not stay in the shuttle as it
was being fixed, and instead met with the reporters. The launch
will still happen, but will not happen on that day. The
commanding officer of the mission, Captain Max Rogers, had to
say this:
The delay of the launch was expected. In fact, I was not
surprised. I knew that this would be the first test of the
nuclear thermal rocket, and that there was a second BURAN ready
for launch if this went south. Every member on here knew that.
They accepted it none the less. It takes a special kind of man
to volunteer for a possible suicide mission, and I think we've
found them. But we will be the first crew in space. We will be
the first to orbit the world more than three times. We will set
a record, and we will be known.
"The Buran Shuttle Major Tom lifted off this morning in a widely
publicized TV event, showing the large shuttle ripping into the
skies. It carried with it a small payload of a satellite, but
managed to get into earth orbit very easily. As of now, the
shuttle is in orbit around Earth, expecting to spend 24 hours in
space. We move now to Mission Control." The reporter mentioned,
and turned the camera to the mission control room.
The room was abuzz with men rushing everywhere, sitting down at
the computers and monitoring the situation. There was a few
cameras operating in and outside of the shuttle, and the
astronauts had space suits on, sitting down in their seats.
"Major Tom, this is Ground Control. You guys did it. News is
here, men!" The ground commander said into the microphone. He
looked up with a smile. "Now it's time to leave the capsule...
If you dare."
