The Emperor nodded and handed him the glass, then leaned back in
his chair. He was careful in listening, and was also careful to
find out what exactly he meant. Wasn't too hard. He had the
straightest face he could, and then smiled. Simple. "You come
bringing a proposal and a question, no? Well, outline the
proposal and pose your question."

Well, yes Your Grace. It is true that I come forth with a
proposal. A non-aggression pact, a sign of good will to the
People of DEN and the People of the Eastern Byzantine Empire. We
wish that, should any conflict arise, you uphold this agreement,
should you choose to accept, and refrain from attacking us and
we shall do the same to you. Standing up, the Emperor recites
the treaty, putting his hand over his heart, begins saying
The Treaty of Hochburg
"The Nation of Die Eworben Namen and the Nation of the Eastern
Byzantine Empire, their heads of state and government
respectively, come together as a sign of good faith, to agree to
and promise to uphold a treaty of non-aggression. Should any
conflict arise, the Nations of DEN and the Eastern Byzantine
Empire, their heads of state and government respectively, do
solemnly swear to preserve and protect the integrity of this
agreement and forthwith renounce, denounce, and do everything
within their power to prevent any direct or indirect military or
economic conflict between the two nations."
OOC: If the Emperor should accept, he is expected to do the
same.

"Pretty bill. Lets take it one step further, shall we?" He
asked, and smiled, taking out his pen. He started editing a
little bit, then stopped. "I'm no magnificent law maker, I won't
lie. But we know that you'll be asking about a little military
presence in your nation. That is, after all, why you're here.
And why you proposed this. I propose taking it from non
aggression, to alliance. The fact remains that either way, if
you're attacked, that's a threat to us. We can't let you fall,
and you can't let us either. Lets go all the way, shall we?"

After consulting his secretary, the Emperor sat down. "Your
Grace, we know your intentions are well and true. I will accept
only on the condition that this alliance remain purely defensive
AND that the military emplacement, is relocated farther south,
away from the capitol city.

negative repercussions over the close proximity of military
emplacement near the capitol."
