The Evening Star, Alexandros Lunar Festival
By: Aquatur Date: July 13, 2015, 8:27 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Once upon a time, there was beautiful and fair maiden,
Alexandria. She lived in a Kingdom known only by the gods, in a
magical and mystical land far from any other. She had hair as
white as snow, as smooth as silk, and as vibrant as the very
moon and stars. Her eyes were dazzling blue and her skin a
creamy tan. She had a wonderful complection and was regarded as
the most beautiful in all the land. The daughter of a mighty
King, the heiress of vast Kingdom of wealth and richness. She
was loved by everyone, almost everyone. Legend has it that one
day, while resting in her chambers, she saw a dove. It flew into
her chambers and transformed into a women, veiled in white,
whose face was unrecognizable. She coaxed her forward, mist
entering through every gap eventually shrouding the entire room.
As Alexandria inched forward, she could feel the air getting
colder, the ground began to change, tiles turned to dirt, carpet
into grass. When she finally reached the women, she vanished in
a spectacle of light, the mist finally clearing she found
herself in a forest, far away from home and all alone. She
wandered for many days before finding a small village in the
mountains, Creous. Faint from exhaustion and hunger, she
collapsed near the edge of town.
Now inside that village lived a young man, Anastasios, son of
the chieftain. He went off hunting early that morning and
returned by late afternoon. On his way home, he stumbled across
this lady strewn across the path. He immediately went for help.
Alexandria woke up the next morning, dressed in a sleeping
attire and inside a modest bedroom. Next to her lay a bowl of
soup, cold now, and a young man, Anastasios, napping up right as
he sat on a wooden stool next to her. She grabbed for the bowl,
unfortunately dropping in the process, waking up Anastasios.
There eyes met and she shyly blushed, raising the blanket to
cover her face apologizing for her clumsiness. Anastasios
chuckled and picked up the bowl, setting it aside, before
reaching for the blanket blocking her face. They spent the next
week together, exploring the village and the surrounding areas,
as he taught her how live in the mountains, she shared stories
of her life back home. It wasn't long before the Chief died of
his long illness and he was named Chief of the village, taking
Alexandria as his wife. She bore him one son and two daughters
and together they spent their lives building up their tiny
village, expanding it, improving it, defending it. It eventually
became a prosperous town, renamed Alexandria in her honor. After
a long life, they quietly passed in their sleep, after 73 years.
Some say that when they died, a veiled woman stood over them,
mist enveloping them, and soon vanished. They say that on that
night, a star appeared in the night sky, much brighter than the
others, they named it the Evening Star. The town continued to
prosper, eventually being the capital of a vast empire ruled by
Anastasios X. A descendent of the first of her name Alexandria
and the first of his name Anastasios.
OOC: Mostly backstory, I will get to the rp in a later post.
Also this is a legendish, so apologies for loopholes, etc. And
typos as well, I'm on a Kindle.
