Hey, who would enjoy a single or two character Rp set in a scifi
setting similar to 1984, yet far in the future?

Okay, good. So here's the deal:
The Rp will be titled 2112: Overture which is the 'year' it is
set in. In reality, it's set in the year 28998, 8998 years after
the Fall. I plan this Rp to be the first of maybe a few more,
hence the name Overture. (That and I loved the Rush song...)
Here's the background on the year.
The characters believe the year is 2112, and that the planet
they are on is the original planet, Terra. The solar system is
the Terran System, and through an amazing set of events, we have
only just come out of our cities and taken to the skies. No one
knows, however, why there is not really any alien life present,
or why we have such advanced technology. There are no known
warships, and the largest ships are powered by such massive
power, that they take one or two ships with them when they jump
to FTL. The smallest ships carry only small FTL drive power, and
no more.
For as long as the people of this system knew, the leaders
(played by me or one other person, perhaps) have always been in
the government. Their names are Arik Taranis, Jonathan Maximus,
and one other: Freddie Rhye, known only as Marshal Rhye. The
story revolves around a certain military officer, Captain
Rogers, and his band of officers (you people! :D). When Captain
Rogers is sent out to find a certain person who was labeled as
armed and dangerous (Jon Cards, known as Kamikaze), he finds
interesting information on the backstory of him, which connects
him to Marshal Rhye.
As he starts investigating Marshal Rhye, he starts to find out
various interesting tidbits of info, not only on Rhye, but also
on the rest of the people. Eventually, he stumbles upon
something mentioning 'The famous warship, the world destroyer'.
The name Bismarck keeps popping up, and he believes it to be a
famous man. But when he stumbles across an underground library
on a remote planet, he discovers an ancient text from a native
population describing a 'black mass that spoke to them, entire
villages in length, that drove through Hell itself, and with no
problem spewed forth death and singlehandedly wiped out the
heavens.' The word 'Mindship' was the name they gave it.
Mindship the Hell of the Heavens.
Mind you, the news has started mentioning an invisible ghost
ship that is the spawn of hell. People who came close were
killed instantly by it, though no man knew why. Only one person
saw it, and he died days later. The man told them that 'the ship
spoke to me... And then disappeared into hell'. It had been two
months, and it had reappeared again.
Determined to put Rhye and his people to rest, and expose the
horrible truth that was the corruption.
The REAL backstory.
In the year 12000, 10,500 years since humanity took to the stars
for real, a man had developed a drive known as the Warp Drive.
It enabled humans to travel through a different dimension to get
where they needed in record time. Faster than light travel known
as Hyperspace was already a thing, and the combination of the
two allowed for ships to cross across systems in mere days,
hopping through two systems length in a day.
This technology was revolutionary, and brought about it a new
change in the galaxy: Psychic powers. For a thousand years they
prospered with this technology, able to build bigger and faster
ships than ever before. Wars that were waged would be fought
between the stars, far away from others. Then, in the year
13,500, a new type of Drive was being developed: the Galactic
Drive. In the year 13,560, virtual immortality was discovered.
In the year 13,570, the Empire rose up from Terra, following a
man known as Emperor Maximus. Maximus was a powerful psychic,
and quickly began the takeover of Terra, uniting earth once
more. Though the galaxy was ravaged with war, they began a
crusade to unite all. In the year 14,119, they did just that. In
the year 14120, they created the Kriegsmarine, a group of
soldiers with unfathomable strength and power (Space Marines
from WH40K). In the year 14200... The Galactic Drive was
finished, and in the year 14,500, a ship powerful enough to use
it was made.
The ship, loaded with people and soldiers, took off for the
heavens. Powered by the Galactic Drive, they left the Galaxy,
and landed in a new Galaxy. That was the one mistake. For even
as the Milky Way galaxy was only populated with humans... This
new Galaxy was not friendly. The first world they landed on was
full of alien creatures that slaughtered everyone in the ship,
and came back when the ship hit autopilot. In 14205, the ship
crashed into a City World, releasing thousands of these
creatures. With them, though, they brought other dangers.
The enemy, known as Greenskins, slaughtered and killed,
multiplied to billions of them, and conquered the City World of
Tetrarch. A leader known to the people as Kamikaze rose up from
the Greenskins, becoming their Warlord. But there was another
ship that followed them. A new race known as Tyranids came from
the galaxy, and landed in a world. Assaulted on both sides by
these new threats, the Empire started to dwindle. Something had
to be done.
In 15000, on the brink of extinction, the Empire builds a new
fleet known as the Titans, and each one is named after a Titan,
and labeled Emperor Class ships. For thousands of years, these
immensely powerful ships fought, infused with the power of their
Psychic captains. There were two fleets, Titan Fleet Uranus,
and Titan Fleet Gaia. Each fleet had seven capital ships, which
sparked the new fleet organization of seven Capitol ships. In
16000 These capital ships, through their immense power, wiped
out the enemy, and secured a new era of peace. But it was not to
last.
The Empire split in two, the rebelling group securing the
Titans, and with them, wiping out entire worlds. In a scramble,
seven new ships were built, known as the Seven Seas. Commanded
by Marshal Rhye, they were nicknamed the Seven Seas of Rhye,
after a song. This fleet held back the ships for a long time,
but it was to be futile. Desperate, they launched a fleet known
as the 1st Fleet, thousands of years in the making. The Capitol
Ship being a ship known as Bismarck, powered by a Galactic
Drive.
In a last ditch effort, Bismarck and the Seven Seas of Rhye left
the galaxy to a new one, carrying the last of the Empire. Except
for Maximis, who stayed behind to fight a last ditch battle
against the rebellion. Wiping out the system of the new Galaxy,
the Seven Seas of Rhye went on to the next, and were lost. The
Bismarck, under apparently secret orders of Maximus, disappeared
as well, never to be seen again.
It was here, in the new Galaxy, that all records of the past
were wiped... And the system labeled home. Any memory of the
events was purged, and that is where this era starts. Rhye is
attempting to find his fleet and Bismarck, which is appearing
here and there, and us, Rogers and his crew, are attempting to
stop him.
