Oil has been struck in Turkducken!
By: Confederacy of Turkducken Date: July 12, 2015, 2:35 am
---------------------------------------------------------
During the States reconstruction a local elderly farmer has
accidentally stuck oil on his farmstead. This has created great
stirrings from the radical groups in the State, while the
President is approaching this development with caution and as of
now has no intention of acting upon this discovery, radical
elements are rallying for the exploitation of this new resource.
While the Turkducken people are incredibly sensitive to the
environment, this radical group has precedence in the rapidly
developing country. Currently automobiles that emit harmful CO2
emissions into the atmosphere are banned except those of
military vehicles, any such development against these
restrictions would radically change the States internal culture.

While His Excellency has not made any formal decision yet it is
expected that the oil will be ignored, and the farmer to be
compensated for his land.

The government of DEN has made a request to begin drilling for
the oil, while compensating those in and around the area heavily
for their troubles.

His Excellency is strongly opposed to the use of any fossil
fuels by any State, as it damages the environment of not just
the State that choses to consume it, but of the world. His
Excellency humbly denies this request, and apologizes profusely
to the State of DEN.

((I... What?))
The government would like a reason as to the denial of drilling,
as the oil is needed for public transportation, aircraft,
military vehicles, and ships. While DEN is bringing nuclear
power into play, oil is still very much needed.

OOC: I thought it was pretty clear.
His Excellency is denying your State access under the pretense
of our own State being a sovereign power, although we are
indebted to your State. The State of Turkducken runs without the
use of oil, although admittedly this hampers the development of
our State, we are only interested in the use of renewable energy
or clean burning fuel.

The government asks that instead of giving, USSDEN buys or rents
the land for drilling for DEN purposes, then restores the land
once finished?

West Phoenicia would like to counter that offer. We too would
like to drill for oil. It would help your economy blossom as we
would ensure all manual and mid management jobs are given to
your people.
We would also assist in the production and construction of wind
farms as an alternative source of energy as well as looking into
solar power also. This should appease the environmentalists in
your cabinet.
And for your younger generation members we will invest in 5 new
colleges. So more children shall have an education with 1000
scholarships up for offer for poor students.

Before the final decision is made, does the State of DEN have
another proposal?

DEN is a clean and stunning nation, with a very beautiful
environment. We have clean products, such as high quality solar
power, and we are looking for better. We are already helping you
with reconstruction, and we have opened our own universities to
you, as well as our nuclear power plants. However, we shall help
by sending some of our best rocket and nuclear scientists and
engineers to your country. Even better is we will personally
fund and create public colleges of your choice, where people can
go for free.
Furthermore, as part of the reconstruction, each city, town, of
power grid we shall reconstruct will be reconstructed with a
clean power of your choice, be it nuclear, solar, wind, or
water. Even geothermal. All we ask is to remove the oil from
your nation for use in DEN. We are a massive country as you
know. We have a great need for oil and food. To do this, we will
train and use both Namenian and Turks with the drilling, and if
uranium is found, we will ask to remove that safely using the
same things we mentioned before.
