Re: [BILL-IC] Interpol Act

"The Representative from the Byzantines makes fair judgment and
has good intentions, however I believe this bill is a necessity,
it may need some tuning to conform with the best ideals of our
Confederacy. But in these times such an organization cannot be
ignored, this is necessary, however it needs to be watered down
a bit." Representative Graham stood by this bill, and was not
about to change his opinion lightly.

"In its current state, I cannot and will not support this bill.
For the good of my State and the Confederacy, I cannot. But some
major changes may sway my vote."

Re: [BILL-IC] Interpol Act

"The Reich would prefer to support the law enforcement bill
proposed by our esteemed colleague from Missouri, and maintain
our sovereign right to immunity for individual leaders or
personnel acting under their rightfully and costfully obtained
mandate to enact their own State legislation, and to behave in
accordance therewith. Anything else would make a mockery of the
sacrifices of many of our loyal and true soldiers who laid their
lives upon the altar of freedom in the War of Northern
Aggression, for which we could not stand.
The powers granted by this bill, to put it more simply --
especially those delegated to the 'Home Guard' -- are, in my
view, excessive. I cannot imagine suffering our leaders to be
spied upon legally within our own State, much less apprehended
and detained, by a federal force acting on pure suspicion.
Moreover, granting sole jurisdiction in the capitol to any force
that also has jurisdiction throughout the States seems quite
dangerous. I do not want to feel I'm under the thumb of a
Praetorian Guard when I come to this house, certainly."
