This is yet another bill that I would vote to be revised under
supervision of the Author and the Speaker. As Missouri is the
founder and we should respect what he intends for this
       community.

To be clear I do not want to punish anyone. I only ask that you
take a step back and look at this from another perspective.

I feel as if my testament is even more pressing as their have
been 13 new members since I joined. Not all of them will become
active members, and we should respect that, but this is a
       sizable growth.

And upon rereading the proposed bill I think their may be some
confusion as to what the specifics are, the proposal states that
States are allowed to use any REAL WORLD country as a basis for
military on everything but total number of active forces. This
excludes the Top Ten Military Forces of the REAL WORLD which
would be unfair or cruel to new players. The Author also points
out that new players should not have to lick the proverbial
boots of older players to get any where in this community along
with being in a constant state of fear of angering a larger more
       powerful player.

I really just did it to attract new comers and to help newbies
and time limited players the option to have advance and
       sufficient defense against the giants.

I really don't get what everyone is so confused about. Members
will custom militaries would not have to change their ways at
all, they could become as advanced as they want. This bill
allows a nation not so informed about military or weapons to
have an efficient and way to set up their armed forces. This
also has nothing to do about size. If I picked Canada as my
military or India, it would not change my forces size limits. If
I am a brand new nation, I may be 34,000 strong with Canadian
equipment and capabilities, or a bigger older nation and have
340,000 ( just saying it would still be based of your
population). All this does is provide protection for the right
to do so. Actually puts those that take the time to do their
nations in such detail at a bigger and more sustainable
       advantage.
       [/quote]
Well, sorry, the language is quite unclear then; no offense
meant. Also, if we're trying to even the playing field for new
nations, I'd rather it was actually a bit more strict about
total armed forces size (it has to be a function of population,
and at some point, geographically and materially, some States
just couldn't have armed forces in the many millions ... because
geographically we're still (portions of) U.S. States.)

For example if I were to fight DEN it would be like any country
on North Africa starting a war with the United States of
America, overwhelming force and a crippling loss. This is fair
to DEN as he has put many hours into this community, but
understand that level of futility. I have no oppositions to, as
DEN puts it, advance beyond what we in IRL have already gone
through. I consider that a fun way to experiment with ideas, but
how do I realistically compete with a country that has HUGE
VERTICAL BIOFARMS and an appropriate large military and
population. This kind of massive development, while it is a
brilliant show of your hard work DEN good job with what you have
done, I would think really limits the possibilities open to new
players. I wanted to be an agricultural, cultural, or diplomatic
power, but it really seems that I cannot because each and every
State is almost self sufficient. These are just my thoughts and
I hope they help to bring perspective to this conversation.

And I keep on telling myself not to come back to this but I
think the main point is that we need to be more active if
possible, or in better communication, somehow.

Its just kinda silly when you look at it like this.
If we are all Countries as small or as large as States, then I
think it would be more along these lines. The United States and
China have economies in the 11-18 Trillion range, but they are
massive countries compared to each of us. I don't know how we
could do it any other way, but I don't think it would hurt to
       try.
