Complete freedom from the Pythians

The day that all of the Empire of the Gallifrean Time Lords had
been waiting for finally arrived. For years Emperor Rassilon,
his military advisers, and the Time Lord Council had been
preparing for a final assault upon the lands held by the
Pythians where they still oppressed their fellow Gallifreans.
The time for complete freedom from the clutches of the evil
Pythians had come.
Amassing several battalions along their northern border, a joint
operation of the Time Lord army and air force was launched on
July 6, 2015, at 0600 hours. Several fighters and bombers were
launched from air bases in Tupelo and Tunica. After strategic
military targets were destroyed, several tank and infantry
divisions encroached north from DeSoto and Marshall counties,
meeting little resistance. The Pythians had been weakened by
previous wars with the Gallifrean Time Lords, and what was left
of their military either retreated or allowed themselves to be
captured. After Memphis and several key cities were taken, the
Time Lords secured the freedom of their fellow Gallfreans, but
under direct orders from Emperor Rassilon, they did not encroach
further into Pythian land. Emperor Rassilon proclaimed that the
captured area was now part of the Holy Empire of the Gallifrean
Time Lords.
The High Priestess of the Pythians eluded capture, with
intelligence stating she barely escaped Memphis to fly to an
unknown location. The government will negotiate the release of
all prisoners of war to the Pythian government (after
intelligence is gathered). All Pythian civilians will be
allowed to leave and seek refuge in the remaining country of
Pythia without hindrance.
The time for the Gallifrean Time Lords has come.

Day 2 of the advancement into Pythian land:
Shelby, Fayette, and Hardeman counties were almost completely
under Gallifrean control this morning as military strikes
continued and the remnant of the Pythian military was captured
or driven back. Pythian refugees were assisted in leaving the
Gallifrean controlled areas into what would remain of Pythia.
Emperor Rassilon was confident that all military maneuvers would
be completed in a matter of a few days.
