Alright, lets make this a public thing. I'll start out.
[li]Write like you would write a book. RP is meant to be a
story, albeit with usually more than one author. One liners, one
sentences, or other small, short posts are frowned upon simply
because it is not detailed enough. Usually, they are not
acceptable (i.e. when describing reactions, when describing
battle scenes, or just describing), but in some cases (such as
dialogue) they are needed.[/li]
[li]Don't dictate the other player's moves. This is meant to be
a story, written out with more than one author. You control your
characters, people, and units. Likewise, they control theirs.
Nobody knows more about their characters, technology, equipment,
or things then they do. Let them be the judge... but they should
also be fair.[/li]

[li]No Godmodding. Quite simply, this word literally means
God Mode. It's when a person becomes invincible beyond the
realms of reality, and nothing can touch them. Likewise, they
can do whatever. This is impossible, as one can imagine.
Research the topic that you want to do, and if you're unsure,
seek help. There are tons of mentors here and older players who
will be happy to help. Don't assume and pull something wrong.
For instance, if your ship is surrounded, and there's homing
torpedoes on all sides, your ship will not outsmart all of them.
More importantly, your ship won't instantly speed up to escape.
Once again, ask questions.[/li]
[li]Don't metagame. Metagaming is a little tricky. It is similar
to godmodding, only, you pull information from places you could
never pull it. For instance, if I make a post about a secret
technology you could never know about, metagaming would be
instantly posting about how you're going to develop it right
now. Why would you do that? Make every post using the best of
your logic. Ask yourself, how would I know that? How could I do
that? What can I do about it?[/li]
Important things to Note: War, who goes first, second, etc. in
order to ensure organization and that no one posts one thing
before the other. Few exception could be made for things outside
of direct conflict such as policy change or troop movement to
said conflict area. Moderation, enforcement, punishment. Simple
enough really. Who moderates, how do they enforce the rules, and
what happens if they do. I think instead of one person who
moderates, there should be a team of three, perhaps. They can
enforce the rules and could give reminders of what not to do. If
someone doesn't change post or ignores them, there should be a
post ban for that thread. Of course, I don't want it to be "Your
wrong, go change it." There should be an element of discussion,
perhaps on a different thread for people to ask questions.
Luckily, there are already two. Lastly, conflict starting and
conflict resolution. I believe the old rules were quite simple,
two mutual declarations of war to start a war. However, I didn't
like how one person ignored the other simply bypassing role
play. It's also clear that people who don't want war should be
left out. This would take a lot of effort and coordination from
the community. Ending a war should be quite simple as well.
Negotiations of war reperations, etc. officially ending said
conflict. I like the idea of a truce for some time that way
people can recuperate. During that time, no state could attack.
Other things: Normal time, war time, travel time.

A lot of those should be decided by the individuals present.
However, more than one moderator is a good idea. I think that
the three men in the committee would be good for that. I could
use a break from yelling at sparta. God knows both of us need
it.

I have no disagreements with this, I'm currently really thinking
about my military. I'm studying hand to hand combat, weapons,
organization and movement, etc. To be better with RPing military
engagement and other things. I think patience to for and to
people who may just be starting out, or otherwise, is important
and arguments should be kept to a minimum if at all. Also, I
would really appreciate feedback from DEN and Missouri as they
have some of the best militaries in this community.

In light of my recent RP economic progress I think it would be
really useful to create some Metagame resources to give price
ranges for economic exchanges, these of course would just be
suggestions. It would also be pressing to address the recent
issue of currency and how we make it work in RP.

Hmm... this would be a good idea. But that's not really
metagaming. Metagaming is where you take OOC knowledge, or
knowledge you'd never be able to know in character, and then
apply it to your writing. It'd be like if Sparta launched an all
out attack on the Golden Coast, and Wellsian knew EXACTLY how to
counter it. How would he? He was taken by surprise.

I was considering it a Metagame in the listing of almost defined
prices. But your right.

Also in light of the economics question, I think organized crime
should eventually be a thing. That would add a new realm of
depth to the world, and could possibly create new conflicts.
