He nodded and got up, before closing the shade behind him, and
closing the door, locking it. He walked over to the camera and
disconnected it, before taking out a device and activating it.
"There we go. Now we can watch that without anyone else
listening in."

"Good man."
He plugged the device in, sat up a little more, and opened the
files.

The screen popped up, displaying a table of files all listed by
importance. They were all classified as top secret, and needed
certain passwords to access. He had those. He opened a video,
and displayed it automatically. The video had Emperor Maximus on
it.
Greetings, President North. I am Emperor Maximus. This
was recorded just prior to the incident in Enduranca with the
fleet, though I instructed this to get there only a few days
after. Next to you, I believe, is a Commissar Yurick of the SS.
Yes, our representative and your possible friend is a Commissar.
But before we get into that, I must apologize. At the end of the
video, anything you demand will be yours. Preparations for
millions, even billions, have been made. I must stress that
whatever happened here was not Yurick's fault, and he was not
informed of this entirely.
President North, there never was a 7th Fleet Crisis.
North watched the clip, his expression changing from puzzled
to... well, dumbfounded. "I don't understand..."
Captain Rhye is NOT a rogue man. He was ordered to slip
into obscurity after obtaining infamy after a set of events. To
maximize the chances of him being declared a pirate, he was
ordered to not hold back on picking targets. I am very sorry
that you were hit like this, but DEN needed the capability he
could provide. This was ordered, but the strike on your men was
not. That is why, short of revealing this, I will do everything
in my power to make up for the deaths.
The President's face was set like stone. However, the machines
monitoring him couldn't lie, and the one recording his heartbeat
began to beep an alarm as his blood pumped ever faster in
growing anger.
"Why... why the hell... was this necessary," the President
managed out, staring at the screen.

The video shut off and the files were still on the screen.
Inside them were specific DEN designs of ammunition, weaponry,
and some venicles. Now it was Yurick's turn to speak.
"This is a Pirate force. In other words, if we wanted to hit
someone, but didn't want them to know it was us, we'd use him. I
wish I could've explained it differently. That's why I said he
wouldn't be coming back." He said, and nodded.
((PLOT TWIST))

President North was silent a moment. His heartbeat almost seemed
to calm down. Then in a fluid motion, he swept the laptop off of
him to send it crashing to the floor.
And then he leapt to his feet.
He staggered, yanking all the tubes from his body. The heartbeat
monitor screamed out a flatline, and a second later, there was
pounding on the locked door as dozens of doctors, nurses and
guards tried to get through to the President.

"President North, his actions weren't condoned. And with your
permission, I'd like to give a funeral to the brave men and
women that were ruthlessly cut down. Everyone of them deserves a
metal for what happened. But sir, this can't come out." Yurick
replied, and jumped up the second he did. "Sir, calm down. You
can't do this."

"Don't you tell me to calm down!" He snapped, still on his feet.
"I don't even care about the military losses; your country
killed a hundred of my people! And not only that, that man has
shot down civilian airliners! He's destroyed commercial
shipping, and killed unknown hundreds of people! He's not a
pirate, he's a terrorist!
"For the love of all that is holy, please tell me he does not
have access to nuclear weapons."
The banging intensified, and the door began to strain as there
was an attempt to break it down.
