The representative was standing besides his bed, and chuckled.
The president, even if he was a high ranking man, was a very
funny person. Still, despite the situations, he had to laugh. He
shook his head, and looked at him. "No, Tovarishch President,
sir. I ran here as fast as I could. Unfortunately, that meant no
side trips. You will, though, receive a gift in due time. How
are you feeling, sir?"

He sighs. "I'll live, according to the doctors.
"Before all... this, happened, I was planning on chewing out how
I feel about this 7th fleet issue... although, as is, I'm sorry
to say my trust in your country's defenses has been severely
strained.
"I've pulled back the Navy, aside from our agreed upon patrol by
Vancouver Island. I can commit the Air Force, but I'm not
willing to lose so many more men and women. And now all this
shit with Sparta...
I'm not letting any of his troops in my country. But, I'll
permit, and even ask, if DEN will consider setting up ABM sites
in Enduranca. For mutual safety."

"Oh yes. We definitely will. I'm sorry to hear all that you
said, but to be fair, we didn't see it coming." He said, and
looked around, before handing a flash drive to him discretely
while he checked the heart rate monitor. "Sorry. I thought it
jumped. You should check that out later."

He waves his hand at the monitor. "It says that. Next thing you
know the doctors'll be putting me in for a new heart because of
a tick or two. I'll live for the rest of my term, that's what I
care about now."
He takes the flash drive, examining it. "Fair enough."

suggest some naval craft to resupply your navy?"

I give DEN full permission to assist with his capture- alive, if
possible.
"Now, what was this about supply craft? We have the Mt. St.
Helens, and our replenishment oilers. I can dispatch one of the
fleet tankers, if DEN so wishes."

"The SS have already been alerted. Now we simply need to wait
for them to get here. I fear he may be attempting to get to you
again, though." He said, and nodded. The SS were already being
dispatched. And a whole company of soldiers were deployed from
the base. "Oh, we simply wanted to know if we could help rebuild
your navy. It was severely damaged, if I remember."
