1. First, Introduce yourself to the people of Bamivo,
the people watching around the region and the Queen. Tell
everyone a little bit about your background and why you feel you
would be the best choice to be the next President of the region!
2. What are you feelings about the trade and sales of nuclear
blueprints or even the weapons themselves. Do you feel that
there should be a free market for such a horrific weapon or for
those nations using it as a bargaining tool to receive severe
repercussions?
3. Do you feel that there is a lack of diversity in the
region, more specifically of women? If so, what can you do to
change that ?
4. What is the first thing you are going to do if you become
the next President?
5. What is your stance on flags here in the region, more
specifically flags with poor reputations relating to slavery and
mass genocide? What would you do or not do about these flags?
6. What are your feelings about creating a regional military?
7. How would you raise the population (number of members) here
in the region?
8. Do you have any track record you would like to share that
proves you are the right man for the job?
9. Who is your current selection for VP and what do you think
they bring to the table?
10. Each gentlemen may ask the others one question?
1. "Good evening Queen Toni III, assorted politicians, and
fellow citizens of this blessed NeoConfederacy. It has indeed
been a long day. But I arrived yesterday, and my jet lag has
since subsided. Today was a long day of planning for this
cordial event. I believe that I am well known to many of you in
this room. I am your current Speaker of Congress. I have put my
name in the hat for this current Presidential term, and for good
reason. In my early political career I was the Steward of
Gondor, basically King Aragorn's right hand man. It was my job
to make many hard decisions, and I came out a seasoned leader
because of it. This lead me to run for Congressman for Gondor,
which I got, and I was also elected Speaker. During my recent
time as speaker, I kept Congress up and running, and made sure
that any passed bills got to the desk of our current incumbent
President Dawning. I have executive experience from being both
Steward and Speaker, and I bring to you the best of both worlds
when it comes to a candidate: I strive to protect State
Sovereignty, so long as the Constitution is not violated. I
humbly ask for your consideration for President, and I will keep
my promises, as I always have."
2. "As both I and Mr. Dawning have reinforced, a state has the
Constitutional right to develop whatever weapons they please, as
they are sovereign states with militaries. But to say that they
have the right to sell blueprints to nukes and even nuclear
weapons themselves is hogwash. If a state wants to develop these
weapons, they do so at their own risk. The repercussions of
allowing a market for WMDs would be catastrophic because it
would arm nearly every state in the NCSA, causing nuclear war
tensions between states who disagree. We cannot allow this,
simply for the safety of the very fabric of these NeoConfederate
States. For states to use nuclear weapons as a bargaining tool
would be even worse because the nuclear states could bully the
non-nuclear states into submission easily, making discrimination
an understatement. We already have an expanding number of
nuclear capable and nuclear wielding states. To allow the sell
of nuclear weapons and blueprints would add to that number
tremendously, and I repeat myself because I believe this fact to
be imperative to this issue. Yes, Gondor has large nuclear
weapons, and so does Sparta. We developed them for the sake of
our people, to protect them. We wouldn't have a major power less
than a thousand miles from us able to just nuclearly strike us
in less than 10 minutes. We developed them in secret for fear of
Spartan discovery; we thought that if Sparta knew we were
developing nuclear weapons, that would only encourage them to
strike us. But when we were finally to the point of having a
nuclear arsenal, we were confronted about it. Unlike Sparta, who
vehemently lied and denied having nuclear weapons, Gondor was
honest from the get go, and proclaimed to the world what we had.
Gondor was absolutely justified in constructing nuclear weapons.
It has to be done to ensure the one way to truly deter a nuclear
strike- MAD, or Mutually Assured Destruction. And that's the
horrid truth, the long and short of it. Depending upon who
wields them, nuclear weapons can be both offensive and defensive
weapons, depending upon the wisdom and character of those that
wield them. This story is but one example of why the sell of
nuclear weapons and their designs ought to be banned. We must
not play with these weapons that could end us all in a matter of
minutes. In other words, don't play with fire, because it WILL
burn you."
3.OOC: I definitely think that there is a bit of a shortage of
women on this forum when it comes to diversity. Heck, I can only
name two off the top of my head. We most certainly need more
diversity, because that's what makes us so great! I would
advocate for a more aggressive recruiting campaign, stating that
all peoples from all walks of life are welcome. Not to mention
that whenever a female applies on these forums, we should make
her feel most welcome and be extremely kind. Just having open
arms will do wonders for the NCSA!
4. The first thing that I will do is establish a National
Military to deal with the ongoing tragedy in Texas. That civil
strife has gone on long enough. Also, instead of letting the
states compete for arms designs, I would rather contract out
military companies, because businesses are what will make our
economy go round, not the governments of individual states.
5. When it comes to flags that have potentially offensive images
and symbols, despite their possible horrible connotations,
states and people have free speech in this nation. It is a basic
right protected by the Constitution, plain and simple. So with
that in mind, I believe that these flags should be allowed to
fly, because it is lawful to do so. To ban these flags would
open the door for blatantly violating free speech in every way
imaginable, which is something I will not have. Just because
someone does not agree with you means that you have the right to
take away their right to stand up for what they believe in. And
to some people these flags may have different meanings than
genocide. For example, the swastika was a symbol of peace to
many people around the world before the Nazis came along, and
the Confederate battle flag is a symbol of national pride to us
now, especially since slavery was outlawed long ago. So it all
depends upon perspective. Therefore, I will not push to ban
these flags. But a word of caution: to those who would act upon
the possible meanings of these mentioned flags, I will not
tolerate it! Genocide, slavery, and concentration camps will be
swiftly dealt with to maintain the freedom of all who call this
great nation home.
6. I think that creating a military on a national level is
necessary. The Constitution says that is the duty of the
government to deal with issues like domestic violence, and to
protect the NCSA from foreign threats as well. We cannot rely on
the militaries of individual states to do this. We must be
united to truly defend this nation, and we need a National
Military for that purpose. Just look at Texas. That is a horrid
case of domestic violence, and it must be stopped before it does
any more damage. But the military wouldn't just be for armed
conflict; they can serve humanitarian purposes in helping
recoveries after natural disasters such as earthquakes,
hurricanes, tornadoes, and floods. To me, it is a no brainer. A
national military is a must have to protect and preserve this
nation, but without violating the sovereignty of the states."
A question to Mr. Kennady. To further discuss what Mr. Dawning
asked you, given your state's track record with developing
nuclear weapons and lying compulsively about having them, why
should we trust you? You say that you are for nuclear
disarmament, but your state started this issue and kept it under
wraps until it was absolutely incontrovertible that Sparta had
nukes. You also say that you are for state sovereignty, yet you
want to disarm the states with nuclear weapons when they have
the right to keep and bear arms. You have set many double
standards. How many times will you contradict yourself before
you can no longer defend yourself? "

"That was the leader's of Sparta making these weapons. I've
been in Richmond representing Sparta and had no idea that they
developed nuclear weapons until others also found out. I don't
see why my home state's actions would cause people to distrust
me as I am not the one that developed these weapons. I had no
idea they were being made. Now Mr. Gray you misunderstood my
future bill proposition. The bill would allow the states to
continue making nuclear weapons but it would set safeguards on
the storage and testing of these weapons. So that no state can
do what Sparta did an test in the Atlantic Ocean and pollute it.
That was disgusting that they even tested it there. Please do
not say that I am saying things when in reality I never said I
would restrict the state's rights to build nuclear weapons."

"I apologize then, Mr. Kennady. I misjudged you. You are
certainly better than your superiors. But I believe that to look
at who a man truly is, you must first look at his roots. Your
roots come from Sparta. Now we have both had misunderstandings
about each other. You misunderstood me in the first debate, and
I misunderstand you now. But on the subject of restricting the
state's rights to build nuclear weapons, your own words from the
first debate hold you guilty. And I quote,
"1) My stance is this, I believe that in our times,
complete disarmament is to difficult to accomplish. So, we
should first take small, baby steps by first issuing a bill to
make states register their nuclear weapons. Such a bill would
also include regulations of the storage of said weapons. After
this is accomplished, we can strive to take bigger strides
towards total nuclear disarmament."
You seemed there to say that your ultimate goal is total
disarmament, through little steps at a time. You said that it is
too difficult to achieve, but is it really, based on your own
words?

"Well I do not believe that complete disarmament will be
possible in my lifetime. But for the sake of humanity we should
take baby steps to nourish the idea that states can live without
WMDs. I hope for a day when all states willingly will give up
their WMDs and we will no longer need them. That should be all
of humanity's goal to one day we will not live in fear of utter
destruction but will live with the knowledge that WMDs are a
thing of the past."

would agree with you most wholeheartedly. That would solve many
problems that we have, and I thank you for clarifying your
stance. I rest my case to allow you to debate with Mr. Dawning."

"Sparta, your party.. It's for sovereignty, no? So... Sovereign
nations have control over their own things, no? To a point
anyway. Wouldn't you say that each nation be allowed to make
their own weapons? Nuclear weapons are weapons, and while I
believe each nation should have what they want, I still detest
them. So, why must you and your nation be hypocritical? Using
chemical weapons in Texas... Building and testing nuclear
weapons, then denying it... Even making a ballistic missile
submarine. For first strikes, I might add. I'd say that you are
all over the place. Wanting a sovereign government, but denying
them creation of nuclear weapons. And how would you do this? We
all know as president, we have limited powers but... In your
case, I feel the Army would become an intimidation tool!"

"I actually have a question for the President. Mr. President,
you say that your economic plan will make our economy be boosted
tenfold. Your plan is to contract out the states for military
hardware to get the economy going. While creating the national
military is very salient, I do not believe that this is the sole
way to get our economy boosted. I have said that I will
implement a trade bill that regulates import and export tariffs
to encourage free trade. Not only this but I will encourage
states to build things like canals, railways and airports. I
will get our economy going on all frontiers. So tell me, how is
your plan the best for our nation?"

"No, you are quite right. It is not the only way. However, it
does drive fierce compitition. By offering contracts, new
factories will be built to start productions, and this will
create jobs. New jobs for the research of such equipment, as
well as transport, will be opened. This will also spur creation
of new transportation vehicles to help with the transportation
of items, as well as material for bases. In fact, the
construction of the bases, as well as gathering of the material
for the bases and items, will create many more jobs. All in all,
unemployment will drop dramatically, and the military will begin
to surface. Something we all wanted.
"With this new military technology also comes more civilian
technology, and already a million jobs as infantry has been
opened up. Now there is probably twice that in the Air Force and
navy. With these two branches comes advancement in naval
navigation, and much more efficient technologies. It's a win win
for everyone!
"Another point I have to address is what you mentioned. While I
encourage the spreading of trade, I cannot ever tell a state to
increase or lower it's tariffs simply because I want a better
economy. That is unconstitutional. It impeaches upon their
soveriegnity. How could I do that? No, I could never. But, I do
plan to meet with Congress to create international trade, and
that will increase intraregional trade as well, by making more
jobs for logistics, creation of new railways and canals for
transportation, construction of airfields and airports, and much
more cargo transport. I plan to make this region an
international economic power. Something to be proud of. What
about you? What new ideas do you have?"
