"Thanks for having me here folks.
1) My name is Nate Kennady and I am 36 years old. I attended
Harvard University and majored in law and politics. I was a
prominent lawyer in Sparta, before I was elected as the Spartan
representative in Congress for four years. After that I was the
Royal Governor of the Spartan city, Athens before I threw my lot
in the presidential election.
2) Well, I am an ardent defender of state's rights and believe
that they may sell the designs and blueprints as long as they
are not to any rebels that could hurt the NeoConfederate States.
These states acquired these blueprints and should be able to
share them if they so choose. So I do not believe there should
be severe repercussions. Unless, it is sold to rebels in which
case the state responsible would be tried before the Supreme
Court.
3) OOC: I think this is an OOC question as in more women as
members. So, I would start an extensive campaign to recruit more
members through the WA delegate and so we would bring more
members in. Hopefully there will be women among these new
members.
4) The first thing I will do as President is create a National
Military. This is so we can protect ourselves. After this is
started and well on its way I'll turn to more domestic things.
Such as creating a National Budget, creating bills to regulate
nuclear weapon creation, registering, and storing them, etc. I
have many plans and I'd also like to bring back the Senate to
create a more democratic process in the government.
5) Well, I believe these states have a right to fly these flags.
As long as they do not start doing the actions that made said
flags infamous, they have the right, and the freedom of speech
to fly these flags.
6) I believe strongly that we need a regional military. This is
because we need to protect our great nation and are required by
the Constitution to protect states during inter-state conflicts
when they request help. So it is essential to create a regional
military right away.

9. Who is your current selection for VP and what do you think
they bring to the table?
10. Each gentlemen may ask the others one question?
11. Your closing statement[/quote]
"(1) Good afternoon. Sorry. It's been a little long of a day.
Plane flights and all. You travelers know the deal. Anyway, you
might have heard about me. I am your NCSA president, Albert
Dawning. Recently started up my move for my first real term;
entering the presidential run, as you know. I'm the first
president of the NCSA, and a long time ago I also held a
position in DEN that was highly regarded as tough: I was a
minister in the government, as you all know. I've also been a
person of congressional aptitude, having, with my friend
Ascrith, composed and passed multiple laws. Already I'm setting
a good example as President, and I really believe right now I'm
the best candidate available. I have the experience, I have the
knowledge, and I have the ability and availability. I am the
most constitutional man here, and I am here for you.
"(2) First off, I need to address the nuclear issue. As everyone
knows, DEN is a nuclear capable nation, capable of producing
nuclear weapons, and having a massive nuclear power grid. I know
Sparta is a nuclear WIELDING nation, and so is Gondor, both
nations here are in the debate. I can list a few other nations
that I know to be nuclear capable: Enduranca, Wellsian Empire,
and the Confederate States of Missouri. Those run and maintain
nuclear power plants. But nuclear power plants are different
from weapons. If someone wanted to exchange nuclear power plant
designs, go ahead. I would support that as a clean and efficient
energy source, and ask for it. But as for the sale of nuclear
weapons?
"Nuclear weapons are a terrible weapon. In tactical uses, they
can wipe out battalions for troops, take out blocks of cities,
much like large bombing runs. But it is the strategic and
tactical use on civilians that I despise so much. A state that
has been driven to use nuclear weapons on civilians is a state
on it's last leg. It is a state that has been driven to no other
alternative. And it is an ugly thing. But even uglier is the
state that is willing to use it on civilians regardless of their
status. That is truly ugly. As we all know Gondor developed
large nuclear weapons. But only because of the Spartan
aggression. Their creation of strategic (civilian threatening)
nuclear weapons was because of known Spartan nuclear weapons.
And who was the first one to develop these nuclear weapons,
those that could wipe out cities? Sparta. Sparta has a horrible
track record, and the Spartan government does not want to
disarm. That is why Gondor created it.
"I'm not against a state developing weapons. If a state wants to
create weapons, it does so at it's own risk. A state is a
sovereign body, one that controls it's own military. For us to
ban creation of such weapons would be to go against the
constitution, and I could never allow that. Now, that means,
though, that no state should sell such horrid weapons. The
penalties of such a state selling high yield weapons to another,
smaller, more aggressive body such as terrorists, would be high.
It would be horrid, and I could never allow such a thing. In
short, while you would be allowed to make such a weapon, there
is no, absolutely NO, excuse for selling these weapons. You
created a monstrosity. Keep it to yourself, and let your country
be warped by it. Don't drag others into it.
"(3) (OOC:) But I've bothered that topic a little too long.
Something smaller, something a little less intense, is what I
need to address. Diversity. Diversity is the key to our
strengths. But unfortunately, there isn't as much diversity here
as there could be. Specifically, women. I am all for girls in
the RPing community, and we have not had enough. But there is
not that much I can do about it, except to make it clear that
this region is open. Very open, and very friendly.
"(4) That leads me to another topic. What I will do. As I speak,
I'm starting to create a military. I'm pulling up a draft of
what the military should have, and this would hopefully bring a
large economic boost to us, in the form of competition. Large
competition. I may need a little more time. I can start this,
but as president, I want to finish it. It is abhorrent to me to
let any other to try this. And when I finish what I was starting
((Including my RP promise with the Task Force Atlas, which I
hope will boost RP participation)), I can step down from my
position, knowing that I have done everything I wanted. For all
nations.
"(5) And each nation has a flag. A flag that brings out the
colors of the nation, if you caught my pun. It shows the
nation's pride in what it does, it's strengths. A nation should
have any flag it so desires. If a man wants a flag that is
related to genocide, it should be taken with a challenge, and
when this challenge is all done, he should be proud that he
could turn this flag into something that represents the opposite
of what it was. Something that was their country's. But a nation
that uses the flag as a trolling encounter is a nation that is
horrible and fierce. ((And as Moderator my swift and just wrath
shall sweep down from the mountains and deliver a blow of pure
justice)) It should not be used like that, their military
killing it's own civilians.
"(6) But militaries are not bad. No, on the contrary, they can
be good. This region needs a military. The instability of some
nations simply goes to prove how much we need it. A well funded,
well disciplined, well trained military can provide not only
protection against foreign and domestic invasion and aggression,
but also provides relief. A nation that is experiencing issues
could rest easy knowing that the NCSA military is there to
provide food, shelter, protection, warmth, and care to each and
every individual. That is what the military should be about. And
that is what it is there for. For us. For the people. It must be
done, but it must be done with caution.
"(7) Unfortunately, I don't have a tie in here. This one is a
little off topic and I couldn't find something that I could use
to leap frog into this. Population. This region has dozens of
states. Unfortunately, being a region with an odd name
(NeoCONFEDERATE STATES OF AMERICA), some people might be
cautious. The only thing we can do, besides using a gun and
strong words, is to set out an example of what we really are: An
open, fun, realistic region that accepts everyone and does not
harass. We are not doing a good job of that. But, we can clamp
down on these issues. We can work to create an opening
environment that does not scare people away. Because what would
we be without that?
"(8) Speaking of which, it brings me to records. Track records,
really. I do have a track record. I've got experience and the
know how to run this, as evident by my large amount of well
worded and well liked legislation. I'm also a secretary in the
Namenian state, and a man who was the first president of the
NCSA. A good president, too. Who else could be as qualified? I
was elected here, no? Alas, I cannot rely on that, but, I can
reassure you: I was elected for a reason. I'm still a good man,
and a qualified one.
"(9) My current selection for VP is Queen Tori. Unlike other
VPs, this one is a woman. I have faith that this kind of
diversity we talked about before will bring in more people,
after we show them that yes, women are good leaders. She is new,
which brings new, fresh ideas to the table. She is also somewhat
experienced with leadership. Both of those are very good, and as
VP, she could be a good driving force for us.
"(10) Yes, I do have a question. Mr. Kennedy... why would you
restrict the CREATION of nuclear weapons, but not the
PROLIFERATION, DISPERSION, and ENCOURAGEMENT of these weapons?
Your party, the Antebellum Party, says that nuclear weaponry is
bad, and that it should be removed. Should be disarmed. So why
are you not doing any of these? I Why are you actually promoting
them?
"(11) All in all, the NCSA needs a president. A good president.
One who can deliver promises, one who can devote himself. I can
be the one who can do all of these things, and can deliver their
promise easily. Put your trust in me. I won't let you down.

11) " Well, it is a state's right to trade freely. This includes
weaponry. A law I will create would efficiently cut down on the
trading but also the building of nuclear weapons by enforcing
regulations. It would also have the states register all nuclear
weaponry so the NeoConfederate states could monitor where each
nuke is and when."
