       ---------------------------------------------------------
The first presidential election debate will be held in Jackson,
West Phoenicia. The home to the West Phoenician Government
grand old plantation homes and Official residence of the Royal
       Family.
Susana Hasselbeck, renowed journalist and t.v anchor of Good
Morning West Phoenicia will mediate the debate. A prepared list
of questions will be posted to give candidates time to prepare.
As well as carefully selected members to ask questions.
The debate will be held at King Glenton Bush II Winter Stadium
and will be aired across West Phoenicia and the NCSA.

Johnathan Gray arrived in the stadium, and took out his
briefcase, overlooking his files and possible answers for debate
questions, should they come up. He had been amazed by the beauty
of West Phoenicia, especially the cotton that had surrounded the
plantations in their summer form. He looked over and saw Susana
Hasselbeck, the renowned journalist who would preside over the
debate. He knew not to trust her, and that this debate would
truly test his mettle as a politician. He knew that between him
and Mr. Kennady, the Spartan candidate was definitely favored
here, being that he was the Antebellum Party candidate and WP
was an Antebellum Party state. But he was here to win the hearts
and minds of the West Phoenicians, even if it meant getting into
controversial topics, such as the Texas Civil War and nuclear
disarmament. He looked into the crowd at the stadium, knowing
the task ahead would be difficult. But he, Johnathan Gray, would
weather the storm. For in time, it too would pass.

Nate Kennady walks over and sticks out his hand to Mr. Gray to
shake it. He smiles reassuringly. " Welcome my friend. This
election will be close I believe. But it is in the people's
       hands now."

Re: 1st Presidential Debate live from Jackson, West Phoenicia
By: Heavenly Paradise Date: June 26, 2015, 11:08 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Mr. Gray smiled politely and firmly shook Mr. Kennady's hand. He
listened to the Sparta's kind words, and was glad of them. He
did not want this election to be any dirtier than it had already
gotten. But there also seemed to be an unnatural confidence
about Mr. Kennady, as he was on his own political turf. Mr. Gray
despised the fact that he was such an underdog, but he never let
it show in his clam demeanor. After a moment of due thought, he
responded to his opponent, rather in kind. "Yes, it shall be
quite competitive I believe. It is most definitely in the
people's hands, and I wish the best of luck to you."
With that, he returned to his preparations for the debate. Sweat
was clearly dropping off of his brow, but he wiped it off calmly
and took a refreshing sip of water, that good ole H20. After
refreshing himself, he readjusted his tie so that it reflected
the epitome of sophistication. In the arguments of glamour he
would never be outdone, as he has been trained by King Aragorn
himself in the arts of style. He then got on his knees and said
a silent prayer, praying to the good Lord for divine strength
and courage to weather the great tempest of debate that had been
set before him. Once he had said Amen, he then began pacing
around the stage, preparing his voice for debate. He was going
to be fiery in his convictions, yet kind of heart. Johnathan
Gray was absolutely hellbent on winning this charade they called
a "debate". It was clear to see that the odds were against him,
being in the proverbial belly of the beast that was the
Antebellum Party. But this did not phase him or cause him to
tarry on his ideals he held so dear. This day would be his. This
day, he would win the keys to the Kingdom through the fiery
crucible of politics. He would prevail. He had to. Though he
walked in the valley of the shadow of death, he would fear no
evil. The Lord was his shepherd, and he would not want, save for
       winning the Presidency.

       ---------------------------------------------------------
The King Glenton Bush Winter Stadium was packed, thousands of
West Phoenicians and others from around the NCSA had fome to
watch the 1st Presidential election campaign.
Susana Hasselbeck graced the stage smiling her award winning
smile that had seen her sky rocket in popularity. When she
spoke people listened and she had the ability to sway people to
       her line of thinking.
She briefly shook both presidential candidates hands.
"Gentkeman may this be a lively debate. The NCSA is watching"
She clicked her fingers and a production assistant switched on
the teleprompters which held the pre planned questions.
"Please take a few minutes to register the questions. Than Mr
Kennedy will be first to address the nation. Followed by Mr
       Gray.
Each of you may present their side of the topic once each side
has expressed their view you will each have a chance of
       rebuttal."
       Questions.
       1. What is your stance on nuclear disarmament for the NCSA?
       2. Who will be your vice president and why?
       3. Should nations have greater state rights and be free to
reject any bill passed by Congress that does not benefit their
       state?
       4. How will you resolve the Texas civil war?
       5. What bills will you introduce to Congress
6.How will you boost the NCSA economy?
       7. What incentives can you offer states to vote for you?
       8. Will you bring back the Senate in the NCSA?
       9. What benefits can you offer the wealthy classes?
       10. What amendments could be added to the constitution?
       11. Why should we vote for you?
Cheers erupted from the crowds as many waved Antebellum Party
       flags.

Re: 1st Presidential Debate live from Jackson, West Phoenicia
By: Sparta Date: June 26, 2015, 1:42 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
"First off, thanks for having me here today. Now,
       1) My stance is this, I believe that in our times, complete
disarmament is to difficult to accomplish. So, we should first
take small, baby steps by first issuing a bill to make states
register their nuclear weapons. Such a bill would also include
regulations of the storage of said weapons. After this is
accomplished, we can strive to take bigger strides towards total
       nuclear disarmament.
       2) Right now I believe that I will choose Jonathan Gray as my
Vice President. I do not know if this is a mutual feeling with
Mr. Gray, but I believe that if after this election we continue
to work together we can, and will take the NeoConfederate States
back into its further glory and it will prosper once again.
       3) I believe that states should be able to reject bills passed
by Congress. But because some states may take advantage of this,
I would push to give the Supreme Court the power to investigate
if the states argument is true. If they discover it is a true
argument they may reject it. But if it isn't, the state must
comply to the bill. In this way, the states will be able to
reject laws if it truly doesn't benefit them. But if they try to
take advantage, there will be safeguards.
       4) I will resolve the Texas Civil War by first asking
Confederate Texas permission to deploy National Military forces.
Should they give us permission, I will immediately deploy these
forces under sufficient leadership I shall appoint. I will use
them to first set up a blockade to prevent the Monarchists from
spreading elsewhere. Then they will help defeat the Monarchists.
Should the Monarchist spreading rumor deem true, I will help
stop the spread of them by using the National Military to stop
the spread by dispatching forces to stop the spread then
       continue to crush the rebellion.
       5) I have several bills that I plan to introduce to Congress. I
will speak of three of them now. One, is to establish a standing
budget to officially distribute the money from the Treasury. The
second, is to create a Trans-Continental Railroad to connect the
Atlantic and Pacific. The third, it isn't a bill that I've
created but I believe it is important enough to lobby for it. If
a new bill doesn't surface I will create a bill to create a
canal that isn't possible to claim by any state. This will
create a surplus of trade and also create jobs for the people of
the NCSA for the creation of the canal.
       6) I will boost the economy by using my last two bills I stated
above. The Trans-Continental Railroad and the Canal will boost
trade throughout the NeoConfederate States and while being
constructed also create jobs for those that need it. So these
two bills would decrease unemployment and once completed
       increase the economy.
       7) I give every state the following incentives. I promise to
increase employment rates, boost the economy, and create peace
throughout the NeoConfederate States. I have big plans and will
       follow through for the people.
       8) I will bring the Senate back. I believe that the Senate gave
the people more control over the government. They had more say
and that is a good thing. I will bring it back and that will be
       one of my first projects.
       9) I believe that the wealthy classes have lots of benefits as
it is. The people in the NeoConfederate States that need the
most help in this nation are the middle class and the lower
classes. But, I will give the wealthy classes equal taxes as the
lower and middle class. I believe this is the best we can do for
now until we better the lower and middle classes positions. Our
worst off citizens should be our priority.
       10) One amendment I believe should be added is this, neutrality
of space. I do not believe weapons should have a place in space.
Space is everyone's area that they can explore. Not a place for
       weapons.
       11) You should vote for me because I have great ideas and will
complete them with vigor. I will not rest until the NCSA is back
to its former glory. I thank you all for having me."

Re: 1st Presidential Debate live from Jackson, West Phoenicia
By: Heavenly Paradise Date: June 26, 2015, 2:24 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
"I thank you all for this opportunity."
       1. I am not a total pundit of nuclear disarmament. But I would
see many regulations put around having and using nuclear
weapons. States are sovereign and have the right to keep and
bear arms, so it would be unconstitutional to take away these
weapons. What we need is a set of laws in place that prevents
the reckless use of nuclear weapons, as well as a record of what
states have nuclear weapons. The problem with disarming totally
is the fact that there are nations outside of our borders who
have nuclear weapons, and if we disarm then we leave ourselves
open to nuclear war. It makes us sitting ducks.
       2. I would choose the Prime Minister of Bamivo as my Vice
President, as I believe that he is experienced and quite cut out
for the job as my assistant in this endeavor. I know that he and
I would make an excellent team for the betterment of our nation.
       3. I do not believe that states should be able to reject laws
passed by Congress. Congress is the highest level of a
legislative body that the NCSA has. Therefore, since the
Confederate government exercises its sovereignty by deriving it
from the states, when a law is passed, the collective
sovereignty of all the states is enacted, creating a national
law. States thus do not have the right to reject a national law.
If a state disagrees with a law, then they should bring a case
against it in the Supreme Court to overturn it, as is their
       right.
       4. I will resolve the Texas Civil War by creating a national
military in order to degrade and destroy the monarchists in
Texas, as they are trying to overthrow a legitimate government.
I will work with Governor Simpson of Texas and take the national
military where he wishes it to go, out of common courtesy. We
will stamp out this insurrection with brutality and little
quarter for these terrorists and murderous traitors.
       5. Some bills that I would like to introduce are a Confederate
Prisons Bill, a Free Trade Act, and a nuclear weapons regulation
act. We need national Prisons to hold criminals so that the
states do not have overflowing correctional facilities. A free
trade act is to make sure that in conjunction with the
Constitution, trade becomes easier to create and facilitate by
banning unreasonable tariffs and duties on imports and exports.
I previously explained my feelings on nuclear weapons, and
furthermore I will actively seek a law that keeps the NCSA safer
at night by making sure nuclear weapons can't be used at
       someone's meer whim.
       6. I will boost the economy first with the free trade bill, and
then I have an economic plan for this nation. I plan to
encourage states to build things like railroads with their own
initiative, that way I create jobs without violating state
sovereignty by forcing states to do something that they may not
       wish to do.
       7. I can offer the incentives of peace, job creation, and a
stronger nation as a whole. I stand for states rights, but I
also believe that the Constitution outlines the boundaries of
sovereignty to an extent. Under me you will see the laws
enforced, the economy improved, and the nation a better place. I
am a man of my word. I will do as I have said.
       8. I believe that it is a good idea to bring the Senate back.
Many new states have joined our nation, and one legislative body
isn't big enough to efficiently pass laws in our nation. The
Senate will be a benefit because more bills can be introduced
and passed, as well as allowing for greater thought to be put
into what laws we want for our nation.
       9. I will offer no extra benefits to the weathlier classes. To
do so is to support a form of discrimination against the middle
and lower classes by treating them as second class citizens. I
believe that all men were created equal, and that it is not
normally right to show favoritism to any one group of people.
Doing that breeds division and hate in our country, and I wnat a
strong, united NCSA that works towards equality for all. But I
am also no socialist and I will not take anything away from the
wealthy. It is my belief that capitalism and free trade are the
way to boost socioeconomic status for all.
       10. One amendment that I would support is a rules of war
amendment. We need to ensure that states do not just go about in
conflicts without any regard for human life. Medical and
humanitarian assistance must be allowed to pass through warzones
unimpeded to help both sides in conflicts.
       11. Everyone ought to vote for me because I strive to achieve a
balance in this nation between state sovereignty and adherence
to the Constitution. There are those out there that seek the
states to be so sovereign that they forget that we are still a
nation tied together by Richmond. I will be fair and just if
elected, and I will protect and defend the Constitution of the
NeoConfederate States of America as well as its people.
       I rest my argument. "

Thanks to both candidates for answering their questions I have a
few questions to field before you rebuttal your opponents
       responses.
       1. Both candidates support a register your WMD proposal. How
will this be enforced? What if a nation knowingly has WMD but
refuses to be added to the register?
Mr Kennedy, we are in a pivotal moment in the history of the
NCSA a time for the glory of the Antebellum Party a party which
represents the virtues of what the NCSA stands for, to do
something many thought unthinkable have the power to make
positive change in government. How will you help this party
       grow in government?
Also your nation by many is classed as a war mongering state.
What measures can you create to ensure to help Sparta have a
better image on the NCSA stage?
       Mr Gray,
So you said that states should not be able to reject bills
passed by Congress. So if such a bill has a negative impact on
a state do you feel they should just suck it up? How is this
respecting a states sovereignty? Especially when often the
courts are littered with allies of the President who put them
       there?
Do you believe Judges in the Supreme Court should be replaced
every 2 terms? Or they stay on the bench until impeachment or
       retirement?
West Phoenicia does not have an overflowing prison population.
We have a booming economy thanks to our Volunteer Prison Labor
Act. Is this something that should be passed in Congress for
       all states to consider?
What is your view on the current national political parties at
       the moment?
Also a question from the audience, as the wealthy classes give
more to assist the NCSA than the poor, why are you
discriminating against them by taxing them higher? Do you
support equality an equal tax for all?
The audience erupts into a sound of applause
Please answer this questions than you may address your opponents
       responses.
