Gondor would like to reveal to the world that we are now
nuclearly capable. We have successfully tested a nuclear bomb
and have done it for defensive purposes. There is no reason for
alarm, we are the good guys. We hold these weapons in response
to a threat from Sparta. We did what we did to protect and
defend our own state from nuclear war.

Prime Minister Countess Tia High strongly condems the nation of
Gondor for their testing of nuclear weapons.
Any West Phoenician ambassadors to the nation of Gondor will be
recalled. And any Gondor officials in West Phoenicia are heaby
expelled until further notice.

King Aragorn responds thus: "What would you have us do with
Sparta having nuclear weapons? Be sitting ducks to nuclear war?
Heavens, no! This is a terrible thing to have to do but I see it
as necessary. We wish that other nations wouldn't prompt us to
do this, but it happened. We do this to protect our people and
to ensure that the little guys have a voice, because we will
stand up for them. If you can't see that, Countess Tia High,
then you must be bereft of all logic and reason. We do this for
our people. This is defensive."

To King Aragon of Gondor,
One could join our nuclear disarmament Committee to force Sparta
go give up their weapons. But you have choosen to act in the
same manner as him. And as such have incured our disdain also.
We believe diplomacy not nuclear aggression is the key to peace
and stability in the region.

Vladivostov supports Gondor bearing nuclear weapons with the
intention of deterrence; however, to prevent further
complications, Vladivostov puts in the request that Gondor
disarm once Sparta's threat subsides. Until then, we stand by
their decision.

Gondor says that the only problem with this is that even if NCSA
threats subside, there are still foreign nations out there who
have nuclear weapons. Gondor is not saying that they will never
disarm, but all threats must be accounted for. Gondor, does
however support a bill regulating the use of nuclear weapons to
ensure that the NCSA stays a safe place.
(((OOC: We are currently talking about rping as foreign nations.
Nations such as Russia and China would have nukes, and if we rp
that way then they are still a threat. Just a thought.)))

Sparta has NOT threatened anyone directly with their nuclear
weapons so we wish that you'd quit saying, "The Spartan threat"
Ours was made just as Gondors was as a deterrent. Nothing more.

OOC: Just to simplify things for now, I think it would be easier
for foreign nations to be ignored. If we decide to go ahead with
that idea anyway, void this message.
IC:
The argument that you created nuclear weapons as a deterrent
when no other nation was in possession of nuclear weapons is
invalid. And to address my usage of the word 'threat', any
nuclear-capable nation is a threat, even if they do not intend
to use them.
