I would most likely be Britain or China. BTW, I like the idea of

No, you wouldn't actually RP it, just create a history in your
factbook that would explain it. After giving some thought to the
matter I think putting a cap of the 12th century (starting at
1100 in other words) would be good. This is when most of the
modern nations of Europe first start to take shape plus it could
also include such nations as The Holy Roman Empire and the
Byzantine (East Roman) Empire as players.

I thought about using NS Nations because that would give us
something to use for army stats and such. I had even considered
making a puppet region, called something like NCSA World to park
them in.
My main ulterior motive behind this notion is that it would give
us a deeper idea of what the world around the NCSA looked like
and it's history.

On the subject of RPs, I'd just like to ask how to become
involved in one? I know one way is to start one via
communicating with other states. But what if one is in progress?
Is there a way to tell if it's open or closed?
Sorry, just wanted to double check before I mess something up.

Well, if you don't want everyone else to know, then simply put
In Secret on your posts, preferably in bold so everyone will
notice. If you want to interact with another nation, simply
start a thread addressing them. Then 95% of the time, you have
an rp going. Just keep it civil, and anyone will rp with you
because you are kind. ;)
