Other nations being involved in RP?

Hey. This is an idea I've been tossing around in my head. I've
noticed RPs are largely between nations in the NCSA, which is
fine. But one thing I would like is to be able to include other
nations. Now, I don't mean other nations in NS, (although,
that's not a bad idea) I mean other nations in the world. I mean
like, Britain and France, Mexico or Brazil. You could do deals
or trade with other nations, go to war with other nations, form
alliances etc. What do you think? Maybe I'm just an idiot and
these have always been allowed, but I don't know.

No, they haven't, and it would be great if they were. I'm in
favor of allowing such interactions.

Me: We should form a super-alliance and force everybody to eat

alliance with Italy!

I had an idea I bounced off Caos. I got it because I have a
puppet named Portugal, Brazil, and the Algarves I just love to
play, but sadly it currently has no home. :'( What if we let
the sitting President play The NCSA in a "Zoomed Out" world
setting. We could also let him play another nation of their
choice (So that when he/she isn't president anymore they still
have something to play). You would be able to pick any other
nation, historic or current, to play in this setting. (Because
the NCSA is an alt-history nation based on what would happen if
the Confederacy won.) Now if you do pick a nation that currently
doesn't exist, or exists in a different form, you would have to
explain why it still exists the way it does. (I could see
everyone rushing to play the British Empire, for instance. So
that person would have to explain, in some at least
semi-reasonable way, why Britain didn't divest itself of it's
colonies.) If you instead choose a current nation, then you
don't have to do any extra work.

Yeah, it sounded like a good idea but it did sound like it might
be a lot of work, and a tad bit confusing. :P

If you decide to play Russia, no extra work. If you decide to
play the Soviet Union instead then why didn't it break up? ;)
We might also want to put some sort of cap on how far you can go
back. Like do we really want to see the Roman Empire in the 21st
century? I could easily make a new forum for this with it's own
subforums for factbooks and the such.
