DEN 4th Fleet carrier group Kittyhawk
       NAC-405 Kittyhawk
"Bombers.... launch!" The Captain ordered, standing on the deck
of the bridge. The roar of twenty high yield jet engines was
deafening on the deck, but up on the bridge only a little got
through. With each one of the planes readied and preflighted for
takeoff, the first of the ten bombers shot off the deck at high
speeds, hitting the slight ski jump at the edge and flying
straight off into the sky, angled at a 10 degree climb, rapidly
approaching 500 mph. "Get the G-90s set up for takeoff! I want
the planes off in four-five minutes!"
"Sir, AEWACS has given us the latest data on the fleet. There's
no carriers present, sir. We should be fine for air cover." A
radar officer, clearly a lieutenant, reported to the Captain,
who was just walking off the bridge. That was good. The bombers,
large as they were, carried no offensive armaments, and had no
fighter cover. Only two IR seeking Darts on the wings. The rest
was ECM pods, Decoys, and recon equipment. They weren't there to
       fight... but rather to observe.
"Good. The bombers should be right on track now. Radar! Track
them on ours... and get the AEWACS to track the radar from the
enemy fleet!" The Captain ordered, walking back to his seat. He
had a little bit to wait before the data came in.
"Already done! AEWACS has triangulated the enemy fleet! Three
hundred miles off from us, sir!" The radar officer replied
again. The AEWACS had been careful to use mostly passive
systems, using active only two minutes out of the ten, not long
enough to be tracked, and they had been moving their positions
       quite often.

The USS Vengeance rode the waves easily. Admiral Nelson was in
the control room when he heard a man yelling. "Sir, we have
radar sightings of a plane heading this way. It appears to be
just a commercial aircraft but who knows." A Lieutenant said.
"Well as of now let it be. But make sure all anti-aircraft
equipment and personnel are ready. Same for the missile
       outfits."
All his orders are being carried out.

"NNS Kittyhawk, this is squadron leader. Picking up some L and S
band radar signatures. Seems to be originating from the fleet,
over." The pilot of the lead bomber reported in, looking around
for a visual on the carrier. He was running a passive radar
scan, not bothering to alert them with too much of his active
radar. Ahead of him and behind him by nearly twenty five miles
was civilian aircraft running in a line. But soon he'd have to
get into position to get most of the carrier's signals. Already
he was pumping out data of their surveillance radar, but he knew
       Central needed way more data.
"Squadron leader, this is Kittyhawk control. What's the signal
strength? Strong enough to get feedback? Over." Came the reply.
       The pilot checked his data.
"Affirmative, sir. We'll just show up as a smaller airliner,
though. Over." The pilot thought about it and remembered that he
hadn't seen any X-Bands flying around, which gave him a good
consideration that these people knew he wasn't a bad target.
Yet. And that was good. He certainly didn't want to deal with
       missiles flying at him.
"Roger on the confirmation, squad leader. Begin sequence. Call
us when you're done and out. Over and out." The comms to the
carrier were cut after that, and unless there was an issue, they
would only be able to hear what they were saying to each other,
       nothing less or more
"Squadron, this is Squad Leader. Commence sequence. Jam for 20
seconds. Over and out." At the given order, the pilot reached
over and disengaged his autopilot, holding the stick in his
hands, and looked over to his left. Somewhere out there was the
enemy fleet, he knew, and his job was to circle it, jam it, and
get info on their systems. He turned his head around to look at
his copilot, sitting behind him, then looked forward. "Hey,
       buddy, you ready?"
"Pods online, pilot. I'm ready when you are." The reply came,
the copilot in the back giving a thumbs up and getting back to
       handling the ECM controls.
The pilot nodded in agreement, then turned the stick to the
left, the plane pulling into a turn, as the rest of the ten
pilots did the same in order. He put the autopilot on for his
altitude and pitch settings, and then let his grip loosen on the
stick. Behind him, the other nine fell into order and they began
a massive, evenly spaced flight around the carrier, gathering
even more info on them. "Now!"
The co-pilot had adjusted the ECM controls to match the enemy's
radar signals, and had just activated the jamming sequence.
Instantly, the ten aircraft transmitted a very powerful jam of
every channel and wavelength the enemy was using, effectively
wiping their radar screen down for twenty seconds in a massive,
       high powered jam.

"Sir? We just lost radar completely. It just disappeared! Oh,
wait it's back up again.(after 20 seconds if you wanted to do
something in this time then RP it) That sure was weird!" The
       Lieutenant said.
"I want ALL personnel on high alert. Sound the alarm. This can't
be some coincidence! Our equipment wouldn't do that. Set the
fleet to its highest speed but stick together! Hurry." Admiral
       Nelson said.
All his actions are being carried out.

       Returning From flight
       Bomber Squadron
"Kittyhawk, this is Squadron leader. Returning to base. We've
got the information you'll need. Over." The pilot reported,
pulling his aircraft away from the circling and heading back
towards his carrier. They had done their job, and had done it
very well. In fact, they had the Spartan's only naval radar
information, and that was quickly fed into the G-90s.
"Squadron Leader, this is Kittyhawk. Roger that. You'll see ten
aircraft on look down radar. Those are the G-90s. Report back
       after landing. Over and out."
It was a quiet flight to the carrier deck, and a very uneventful
day after that. Until the information about the scene came back.
       DEN
       Heading Towards Fleet
       DEN Carrier Attack Squadron
The ten G-90s were not equipped for anti ship engagements,
though if need be they could. The 10 pylons were loaded to the
max with CAS and anti tank load ours, the most devastating
weapon to planes being the four 1,000 pound bombs they were
carrying. The six hellfires would be nice against small
aircraft, but the four nimrods would be an issue that the enemy
could address later. Besides that, their wing tips held a pair
of SRM-1s, and the nose cannon had a full load of DUt and SAPHEt
rounds, which could prove deadly to the enemy's bridges.
Now they were flying under the enemy's radar, cruising just
above the water, moving at 550 mph, careful of their movements.
The lead pilot was flying low, when he registered a L and S band
radar wave fly right over his head, not strong enough to
register a return. But that's okay. They'd get to the fleet, and
they'd only be detected when they were right on top of them.
Already, they began their high powered radar jamming, getting
the info from the bombers again.

       Spartan Flagship Control Room
As the jamming signal came in this time Admiral Nelson was
ready. As the first radar went offline he ordered that the
frequency of the machines be switched. Immediately the men
switched the frequency and thus stopped the incoming jamming
technique. Suddenly an alarm went off, in the distance low
flying aircraft were spotted. Immediately the alarm was sounded
and the anti-aircraft personnel began to target the enemy. The
anti-missile units and torpedo units quickly manned their
stations prepared to take control should the computer systems
fail. "Find out whose aircraft they are. You come here." Nelson
said. "As they approach take pictures of the plane. Give these
to your friends and spread out and get me some pictures. Hurry."
The cooks he spoke to rush off to get on the deck.
The Spartan fleet was now prepared as the enemy approached.

"They've got weapons lock! S and L bands gave them a return! X
Band is crawling all over us!" One of the pilots shouted, his
hands tight on the controls. He was ready to do anything. He
quickly switched to the Nimrod missiles, and changed the fire
controls to all, and the release to .4 seconds.
"Hold your positions until you have to!" The squadron leader
ordered, and in those short seconds the aircraft covered the
distance from detection to the edge of the ship, where the ten
planes pulled up, their high powered engines and speed bringing
a spray of sea water onto the decks and the roar of jets echoed
       in everyone's ears.

       Spartan Fleet
The first ship had water sprayed all over it but the other ships
kept their weapons locked on the enemy. "Steady men. Do no fire
until fired upon. Switch those cameras to videos. Video tape
this and stream it to Sparta live. Quick." Nelson said.
The Spartans remained vigilant and watched the fighter jets go
straight up and kept their weapons locked on the enemy and were
       ready.

The jets flew up at an angle, and released their load of chaff,
blinding the enemy's radar systems in an impenetrable wall of
nylon reflecting strips. They then split off and flew around the
fleet, heading back to their base, their RWRs blaring as the
lock on continued. There would be no fighting today. Just a hell
of a bad day for the enemy.

"Dammit. Change course around those strips. This will put us
behind schedule by 2 hours. Begin movement now." Nelson said.
The fleet began to move. Tactically Sparta had won this
encounter. They hadn't been fired on and hadn't wavered and may
       have stopped a war.
"Sir those videos are coming back from Sparta. They are working
on who these jets belong to. They'll have the Intel to us soon."
       "Good. Very good" Nelson said
