       President Bar, Richmond's Capitol Bar!
By: Caos Date: May 28, 2015, 11:24 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Hello, one and all, and welcome to the newly created bar! Of
course, this bar is a fun place to hang out, chat (ICly of
course), and just enjoy the spontaneous things that erupt! This
bar is unlike any other thread, though. Here, everything that
happens (ignored or not by players) outside is accounted for. A
bomb goes off? Someone knows about it.
This also brings something else. There will be NO INSIDE
VIOLENCE, WAR, OR ANYTHING OF THAT SORT. I don't wanna deal with
something like last time. Brawls? Yep. That's okay. A fist fight
or something for fun and character is nice. Shoot outs,
robberies and the like? Not dealing with it. Those posts will be
       deleted unconditionally.
As I said, this is a test. If we like it, we keep it. If we
       can't handle it.. Ehhh...
       IC:
The bartender was a man who had seen better days. Arik could've
estimated his age at nearly fourty or fifty, perhaps even a good
looking sixty if he had been lucky. The back of his head had a
shiny bald spot that couldn't help but shine in the light, and
surrounded by grey roots and brownish hair. When the man turned
around, his chin was covered with what looked like a greyish
brown beard. He blue eyes, although always friendly, stared off
and remenisced of better days. Younger days. It was why Arik
liked him so much. "'Noon, Arik. What'll it be? Usual? Something
       fancy?"
"No thanks. Something rough. I've got a few bills I have to
blaze through. Thanks for asking, though." Arik replied, and
sighed, looking into the ceiling lights. His voice was rough...
Just like the bartender's, though he always assumed it was
because both of them smoked. At least, one of them did. Arik had
given up that habit a long time ago, but never hesitated to
bring out a cigar to celebrate something. "What's the roughest
       you have?"
"Roughest? We have Barrage Vodka, Tetrarch Brandy. Something
moderate? Eh, I'd go with Trench Line." The bartender replied,
and brought up a glass for Arik, before grabbing a bottle of
Barrage. "Personally, I'd take Barrage, on the rocks, with a
lemon. Got some blood orange stuff, too."
"Sure. Just leave the bottle when you've finished, then." He
replied, and the bartender nodded, pouring him a glass of the
Vodka, pouring in some blood orange juice, then popped a lemon
on the side. He pushed it forward, and he sipped it, nodding and
       rocking his head. "Dankeschön, comrade."
"Anything for a former student." The bartender said, winking as
he continued, and placed the radio onto a rock station, letting
       it play quietly.

Baroness Honey Baroda, the newly appointed Congress
representative for West Phoenicia arrives at the bar door.
       Waiting to be seated.
She casually glanced at her diamond encrusted wrist watch
wondering what was taking so long for someone to greet her and
let her be seated. She was of noble blood she knew. No expected
       to be treated as such.
She had just enough time to drink a martini before she was due
       for a committee meeting.

The radio was playing an old rock and roll song, something by
supertramp, but he didn't remember. He thought it was Goodbye
Stranger, but he hadn't heard it in forever. Arik casually
grabbed his drink and got up, holding the bottle in his hands.
He placed a bill on the table, with a tip, and walked over to
the pool table. The old thing was practically his, he was here
so much. With the care of a mother, he picked up the pool cue
and started chalking the tip. He placed it leaning against the
table, grabbed the balls, and set up the triangle in the middle
of the table. He placed the cue ball on the far end, and blew on
the tip of his pool cue, took a sip, and set himself up to
       strike it.

Rep. Jack Langdon entered the establishment, heading to the bar
he ordered a mint julep. After receiving his drink he looked
around the bar a bit, an aristocratic woman or a game of pool.
It was a hard decision, but he settled on the pool game. Heading
over to the table he placed a 20 Confederate Missouri Dollar
Bill on the table, took off his coat, rolled up his sleeves, and
grabbed a cue stick. He held the stick up at eye level to make
sure it was actually straight, sometimes bar sticks got warped
with time. Satisfied with his selection he chalked the tip and
asked the gentleman at the table, "You up for a friendly game?"

He was just about to strike the cue ball, already holding the
cue stick and moving it back to aim, but stopped. He turned
around to face the gentleman who came in and placed his cue
stick in the upright position. Taking out a 20 Acquired bill, he
placed it on the table, and added a one. He waved his hand
towards the cue ball, and smiled. "There, now that's even. You
may take the first shot. It's only fair."

Representative Johnathan Gray started into the bar, with his
hair slicked back and wearing a silver suit with a blue shirt
and silver tie. The lights in the bar made his dark gelled hair
into a rather glistening hue, and he walked with the confidence
of the Speaker of Congress, but also maintained his humble
countenance at the same time. He looked over and saw the two
representatives playing pool, and thought of joining, but
fancied a drink first. "A shot of your most aged Russian
Standard, on the rocks please and thank you." He called to the
bartender. Mr. Gray was a fan of the finer things, especially
good Russian vodka. As payment he placed a 20 denethor tokens
bill on the counter, and took a small sip of the drink. He
adored the sweet burn of the beverage, hearkening him back to
times when he would casually drink with friends on a cool
summer's night in the Wisconsin forest, sitting on the back
porch of his log cabin and drinking the night away in
merriement. Ah, those has been the good ole days. But now he had
great matters to attend to, and he eyed the Spartan
Representative Nate Kennady. He had wanted to speak with him
about matters regarding a recent serious and ongoing incident:
Sparta's nuclear weapons program. He called out to Kennady, who
was at the pool table. Gray's voice was polite, and rather
mellowed out. "Ahem, excuse me, Representative Kennady, but may
I have a short word with you? The subject on which I wish to
speak of is extremely important. I promise I won't take up too
much of your time, good sir." He then drank more vodka while
awaiting the Spartan Representative's response. And he thought
back to those cool summer nights...

Rep Kennady had been watching the game with amused interest when
he heard Mr. Gray call him over. He picked up his vodka taking a
sip and walked over to Mr. Gray and said, "Yes sir what do you
       need?"

As Rep Kennady walked over and sat next to him, he gathered his
composure. He knew that the Spartans had vehemently denied any
nuclear weapons testing, but the evidence was clear. The
Spartans had tested a bomb, and something needed to be done. But
that something did not have to be violence, as he wanted the
NCSA to remain a safe place.
"Mr. Kennady, I must first ask your forgiveness in advance if I
offend you with the delicacy of the subject of which I am about
to speak. But I feel something must be said, for the security of
our great nation may hang in the balance. As much as you may
like to deny it, I believe that the USSDEN has found more than
enough incriminating evidence to suggest that your nation, has
in fact, successfully developed and tested nuclear weapons,
specifically in the North Atlantic. I would ask you this: if
your nation does have these weapons, do you have the intent to
use them offensively with little thought, or is this a deterrent
for defense? Though I don't see how it could be the latter,
being that no nation had nuclear weapons prior to your own. And
relating to nuclear weapons, is there any legislation you would
like to see pass to properly regulate nuclear weapons
       proliferation and usage?"

Mr. Kennady listened intently as Mr. Gray spoke. "Well Mr. Gray
the problem is is that I believe that the nuclear weapons were
made to deter DEN from attacking Sparta. Even though no one else
has made them, we knew the capabilities of the Namian military
after their attack on Heavenly Paradise. They were going to be
used defensively yes. But also offensively if diplomacy and the
threat of nuclear bombardment fails should the Namians invade
the Fatherland. I do not believe any regulation should be set
upon nuclear weapons except for that the NCSA government should
have a recorded document of which nations have nuclear weapons
and the quantity and power of said weapons. This is because we
are all loyal to the NCSA so the government should know which
states have nuclear capabilities in case they have to step in to
stop a nuclear war. Does that sum what you were asking up?"
