The 4,000 Spartans arrive and yell for the Easties to fall back
to the woods. As the Easties do this the Spartans lay down heavy
fire with RPGs at the Missourian vehicles and then toss smoke
grenades before withdrawing to the wood line. Lieutenant Jackson
looked at the Easties and said, "We are here to help. We are
trained so I am here to relinquish control of this situation
from you. I want all of you to fall back 40 yards to that ridge
and dig trenches in a square formation with our gear to hold all
of us. We will stay here behind the trees and hold them off till
your done. The trees should provide cover from aircraft and
you'll have to hurry. Now go!"
The Easties move out and begin to dig trenches.
The Spartans began to get behind the trees in cover and reload
their RPGs and other weapons to await the enemy. "Men, as soon
as they begin to come through that smoke screen 60 yards out
throw the Lewisite grenades. Make sure they are thrown 40 yards
out so we don't get hit by it. That should stop them dead in
their tracks until the gas fades away. Open fire once they get
caught in the gas. Get ready for heavy fighting men!"

The first round of RPG fire takes out one the Missouri Bobcats
and about 20 men, then the Missourians pull back well out of
range. Shortly thereafter the first flight of four Missouri F-35
Tornadoes shows up and begins dropping Thermobaric bombs on the
area the easties retreated into. The explosions are tremendous,
akin to a tactical nuke, effectively leveling the forested area.
Those easties caught directly under the aerosol cloud will die
from the flame or overpressure. For those on the periphery of
the strike, the injuries could be severe. Burns, broken bones,
contusions from flying debris and blindness may result. Further,
the crushing injuries from the overpressure can create air
embolism within blood vessels, concussions, multiple internal
hemorrhages in the liver and spleen, collapsed lungs, rupture of
the eardrums and displacement of the eyes from their sockets.
Since a fuel-air mixture flows easily into any cavities, neither
natural terrain features nor non-hermetically sealed field
fortifications (emplacements, covered slit trenches, bunkers)
will protect them against the effects of the fuel-air
explosives.

/> I'm not sure if it would set the Forrest ablaze or not, I thi
nk
it very well could, but will leave it up to Caos on that one.
The bombs dropped by the other planes in the attack might blow
the fire out though.
As a side note each plane will be carrying two 1,500 kg
thermobaric bombs (They could be carrying four but I want room
for self defense weapons also on the wing pylons)[/spoiler]

Spartan HQ
"Bravo do you read me? Copy do you read me?"
*radio static*
"Dammit. I want a 100 man team in pick ups to get in there and
figure out what happened. Keep trying to get Bravo online and
report to me any changes. This mission is compromised, we are
pulling out. Move Out!" General Patton said.
All Spartan forces get in transports and begin to leave heading
North then they will switch directions and head to Sparta.
Battlefield Situation
"Keep it up! K..." Giant blasts erupted all throughout the
woods.
Lieutenant Jackson woke up with a massive headache. He stood up
but limped on an injured calf. He looked around and found six
survivors but the rest were dead. "No need to strip them of
their weapons or gear because they were obliterated." he
muttered. "Come on. Let's get out of here before we are
captured!" he said to the others. They limped slowly away
through the fire and carnage. Lieutenant Jackson found a pistol
with two mags that was unharmed and picked it up as they walked
away.

(OOC: I'm starting again as well. So the Texan forces have just
arrived. Also, to make things more realistic, the Texan forces
are arriving on foot and in tanks)
IC: The Texan forces arrived at the battlefield. They numbered
1,300. Unfortunately, it seemed they were a little late, as they
were not welcomed by
gunshots and grenades, but Missouri men clearing up the area.
The forest had been completely destroyed for the most part, and
what remained of it was burning. Sgt. Newton walked around,
looking for any authority in the Missouri State Guard. However,
by examining the scene, Sgt. Newton had
a pretty accurate idea of what happened. The Easties had been
destroyed in this battle. Any survivors were probably being
ruthlessly hunted.

IC:
"I have made a grave mistake. We supported the Easties but after
seeing how their organization works, they are a corrupt
dictatorship. We publicly withdraw all support for the Easties
and will not trade with them. We also pledge our support for the
rightful government and will support them if the need arrives."

This is from the Kingdom of East Texas, in a speech from King
Washington
"My fellow East Texan brothers and sisters, Sparta has publicly
renounced their support for us, instead siding with the
"rightful government", as they call it. They have called our
great nation, a nation struggling against tyranny and cowardice,
a "corrupt dictatorship". This, my subjects, is called betrayal.
Those Spartan sultans have betrayed us for the last time! Our
recent defeat in the counties of Jasper and Newton has proven to
me their failure as a military power. Now, we must fight for our
independence alone. Are you all with me?" asked the King,
raising his fist in the air, trying to motivate his people. It
worked. Everyone in the crowd cheered and began to line up at
the volunteering center to join the military.

Rather than chasing what remained of the eastie forces the
Missouri men where cleaning up the destruction. It seemed they
were paying particular attention to attempting to identify the
dead and see to proper funerals for them. Sgt. Newman was
greeted by what would appear to be a Colonel, "Can I help you
son?"

"His Excellency President of the Confederate State of Turkducken
is deeply disturbed by the bloodshed of the Texan Civil War. He
welcomes both parties East Texas and Texas into the capitol city
of Patience in Turkducken to conduct meaningful diplomacy
between both sides. All parties involved are invited."
