       Quick question:
       How many laws were saved?

Not Many, I'm affraid. Jalin sent me a few he managed to save.
He also saved the amended constitution. It's been reformatted so
that it's not in two chapters like it used to be. Everything
about one topic, say the Congress or President, is in one place.
The amendments have also been written into the main body of the
document (which means the old president language was removed).

I saved some of the basics like the legal code, rules of
engagement (war RP rules. I don't remember what they were called
so I just called them that), and the land act. There were a
couple others I saved too like the wmd compromise and the
development limitations bill. I'm trying to think if there are
any more I remember that weren't constitutional amendments that
I might be able to rewrite but at this point, those will get us
started and we can repropose any of the others laws in congress.

Just to be on the safe Side, we should redo all our laws as new,
except for a few items that are necessary. Just for
transparency's sake. And because some people her might be
       different.

This isn't a completely different region. Our history, the
lessons we've learned from our mistakes, don't go away because
we're starting from near bottom. The laws that were saved were
voted on and passed in congress before and we're lucky I saved
them. I know you were never a fan of some of them but they were
passed for good reasons. Why start completely over when we don't
have to? I say save our selves the needles work and start from
here. Like I told CSM, also, once we get the courts up and
running, all laws are under review anyways, so you can bring
something to them when that opens, too. That's still our right
       to question established laws. :)

That wasn't necessarily my point. While I never really agreed
with any of the ones proposed by House Franco (my term for the
mob like structure Franco ran), I accepted them, albeit with
difficulty. However.... While it can be argued both ways, I
believe this is a somewhat newer region. Some laws should be
proposed and voted on, so as to allow transparency. I was
looking at Franco's region, and none of that happened. Franco
simply made laws appear, without voting. There was no
transparency, and there was a more dictatorship like control
there. My fear is that the exact thing might happen here,
through no fault of our own, or that a new member might be
       deterred because of this.
Nevertheless, if those bills are made into laws simply because
we are still a region, and those bills were laws, I shall accept
it, and challenge the ones I *don't* like in court, as you
       suggested :P

I can understand that. Transparency is key. The less corruption
we let slip the better. And yeah, courts are always an option.
       :)

I would like to point out that some of the laws that Jalin gave
me are substantially different than the ones we originally
passed. I'm assuming that in my absence there was some sort of
review done and older laws were modified. We need to look at the
land claim act and possibly modify it because of what I've done
here. The amount of land I've been giving is larger than what it
allows and because of that everyone that has signed up could
have land yanked away. The legal code, as it currently stands,
allows moderators to act as judge, jury, and executioner in some
cases and I'm just not going to have that. I wrote the original
version of that and I know for a fact the original law wasn't
written that way so it has been modified. if the legislature can
modify it once it can modify it again
