Human Pheromone Sciences - Does a Law of Human Attraction Exist?
---------------------------------------------------------
"Opposites attract" is a law of attraction, at least where
electromagnetism is concerned. But are there laws about
attraction between two people? "In a world that is full of
strangers" as a line in a famous song of the 1980's goes, is
there a clear set of rules that allows two people to fall for
each other?
[*]Lately, scientists are looking into the existence of human
pheromones and its role in mate selection.[*]There are many
conflicting views in the realm of biology, chemistry, genetics,
and psychology.
--- Quote ---
> Most scientists would assert that these do not exist, or if
they do, do not play a role in sexual attraction between a man
and a woman. But new researches such as that conducted by Swiss
researchers from the University of Bern led by Klaus Wedekind
are slowly making these scientists rethink their stand.
--- End Quote ---
Attraction a Matter of Chemistry?
---------------------------------------------------------
Maybe. According to scientists, the attraction between animals
of the opposite sex is all about chemicals called pheromones.
The effect of pheromones in behavior of insects is the most
studied to date.
What does this tell us? We prefer a certain personality type,
which attracts you to a person. But aside from the actual
personality of the person, which can only be verified through
close interaction through time, it is your perception of your
potential partner that attracts you to him/her, whether the
person of your affection truly has that kind of personality or
not.
[*]Has been observed, at least in some experiments, that
pheromones are responsible for communication among same species
and colony of ants.[*]The horrible odor released by skunks to
ward off enemies is said to be a kind of pheromone.[*]Some
species of apes rub pheromone-containing urine on the feet of
potential mates to attract them.
There is Wisdom in Knowing Yourself: Who You are, Your Beliefs,
Values, and Dreams
---------------------------------------------------------
Don't pretend to be someone you aren't. Fooling another person
by making him/her think that you share the same values and
beliefs is only going to cause you both disappointments. This is
the counterpart to our previous paragraph on Human Pheromones.
Please read that paragraph to get a better understanding to this
paragraph.
So Should I Stop Trying to Become Attractive?
---------------------------------------------------------
More than trying to become physically attractive, work on all
aspects of your health: physical, emotional, mental, and
spiritual. Physical attraction is still a precursor. Remember,
biology predisposes us to choose the partner with the healthiest
genes.
[*]Where your emotions are concerned, just ask this to yourself:
would you want to spend time with a person who feels insecure
about him/herself?[*]Probably not![*]It was with great optimism
that we started out on writing this composition on Human
Pheromones.[*]Please don't let us lose this optimism.[*]Their
experiment involved women sniffing the cotton shirts of
different men during their ovulation period.[*]It was found out
that women prefer the smell of men's shirts that were
genetically different, but also shared similarities with the
women's genes.
Does Personality Figure in Sexual Attraction?
---------------------------------------------------------
Yes, but so does your perception of a potential mate's
personality. According to a research conducted by Klohnen,
E.C., & S. Luo in 2003 on interpersonal attraction and
personality, a person's sense of self-security and at least the
person's perception of his/her partner were found to be strong
determinants of attraction in hypothetical situations.
This could probably account for a statement commonly heard from
men and women on their failed relationships: "I thought he/she
was this kind of person."
So How Does Attraction Figure in Relationships?
---------------------------------------------------------
You have probably heard that attraction is a prelude, or a
factor towards a relationship. Most probably, at least in the
beginning; but attraction alone cannot make a relationship work.
It is that attraction that makes you notice a person from the
opposite sex, but once you get to know the person more,
attraction is just one consideration. Shared values, dreams, and
passions become more significant in long-term relationships.
Some scientists believe that animals (usually the females) such
as insects and mammals send out these chemical signals to tell
the male of their species that their genes are different from
theirs. This gene diversity is important in producing offspring
with better chances of survival.
This, like in the case of insects and other mammals, was to
ensure better and healthier characteristics for their future
children. But researchers also cautioned that preference for a
male odor is affected by the women's ovulation period, the food
that men eat, perfumes and other scented body products, and the
use of contraceptive pills. Patience was exercised in this
article on Human Pheromones. Without patience, it would not have
been possible to write extensively on Human Pheromones.
[*]The perfume industry has capitalized on pheromones as a means
to increase one's sexual attractiveness to the opposite
sex.[*]Animals such as the whale and the musk deer were hunted
down for these chemicals. [*]Pheromones are interesting things;
however they can be tricky as well.[*]Basically, pheromones are
what attract us to other people.[*]They are found in the animal
world, the insect world, and the human world as well.[*]We
secrete chemicals that members of the opposite sex can
notice.[*]We also secrete chemicals that members of the same sex
notice.[*]Basically, pheromones are these chemicals, secreted by
our bodies to tell others who we are.
The Animal World, Pheromones are Used for Many Things
---------------------------------------------------------
They attract mates, and identify the species to others. However,
for humans, there isn't a lot of good in chemicals to attract
mates - or so you'd think. We do not mean to show some
implication that Human Pheromones have to rule the world or
something like that. We only mean to let you know the actual
meaning of Human Pheromones!
We can't Really Control What the Different Pheromones Make Us
Feel Like
---------------------------------------------------------
Hence, you would want to shop for the pheromones that help you
attract members of the opposite sex and make them feel a certain
way about you. The facts on Human Pheromones mentioned here have
a consequential impact on your understanding on Human
Pheromones. This is because these facts are the basic and
important points about Human Pheromones.
As humans we can control our emotions, so it isn't likely that
wearing a certain pheromone is going to cause someone to do
something they wouldn't otherwise have done. However, it is a
fun thing to think about and something to experiment with.
[*]Fact, even if you don't know it; our pheromones have a lot to
do with who we are attracted to and when this happens.[*]For
these reasons, shopping for human pheromones is something you
should consider.[*]You'll be surprised with what you find.
Order to understand what can be found when shopping for human
pheromones you have to understand that there are different
types of pheromones. Our bodies react certain ways to different
pheromones -- some of them make us feel happy and excited;
whereas others can make us feel upset and angry.

Technically speaking, a pheromone is an odorous chemical
produced by an animal that affects the behavior of another
animal. Some of the many behaviors affected by animal pheromones
include, attracting or finding a mate, reproduction cycles,
marking territory, warning of danger, and showing the way to
food. Because pheromones can be influential on other living
being they are probably one of the most ancient forms of
communication.
[*]Pheromones serve as sexual attractants.[*]They have a
distinct smell that appeals to the most basic of instincts,
particularly those of the opposite sex within the same specie.
How Pheromones are Used for Attracting Males
---------------------------------------------------------
In order to make a complete woman out of you and to competing
with other women around your choice male, it might be necessary
to get the attention of the male. The dressing is one way of
doing it, but when you are in company of other females who are
all similarly dressed, you might find that pheromones work on a
subconscious level without your man knowing it. He is attracted
to you by the action of pheromones and only to you.
The Best Way to Wear Pheromone
---------------------------------------------------------
Femininity is the best pheromone and added to it the pheromone
that you wear on your body; you have everything working for you.
The best way to use the pheromone is to apply it on your breast
and then allow the pheromones to work for you. Physical intimacy
is not necessary but you have to be within just 2 to 7 feet for
pheromones to be effective. The remote control of pheromones
will make the male be attracted to you without his knowing it
and remain attracted to you as long as you want it.
Though not proven highly effective at alluring the opposite sex
as some products claim, experiments have shown that pheromones
do affect human behavior as well. There is evidence that females
may synchronize their menstrual cycles based on the presence of
pheromones in other females sweat.
[*]Was only in 1986 when a group of Philadelphia scientists
discovered the presence of Pheromones in humans.[*]Women produce
them, and this makes men approach them with much fervor and
longing.[*]Men produce them as well, and this results in
building a connection with the females of our specie. [*]The
problem is, Pheromone production varies from subject to
subject.[*]While some may possess an abundance of this, well,
hormone of desire, others seem to suffer from a shortage of the
same.
There have been numerous studies conducted with couples and even
twins put in the same position at bars as a social experiment.
The overwhelming outcome of the studies was that the people who
applied human pheromones were approached more often, and the
couples hugged, kissed and had sex more often, and the twin that
applied the pheromones received double the attention and people
approaching as the twin that did not apply them. ;)
So yes, pheromones do work, and they can be an excellent way to
attract more attention from men and women alike, or even to do
your own little "experiment". Why not? It was with keen interest
that we got about to writing on Best Pheromone. Hope you read
and appreciate it with equal interest.
Has also been shown that female humans react to the continual
presence of a male by an increase in fertile cycles, higher
levels of estrogen and delayed menopause. This suggests that
women react to male pheromones.
