Theory about Hashirama/Sage Mode

Is it actually stated who created Sage Mode in the manga? I
checked the wikia and it didnt say, what if Hashirama created
Sage mode and his is sort of like an Ultimate Sage Mode and
that's why he doesn't get any animal characteristics? Unlikely
but possible

Well we're still not entirely sure exactly what his Sage mode is
for and what exact contract(s) he may have. Senjutsu is clearly
much, much older than the other kinds of jutsu, and the vibe I
get from Mount Myoboku and its tons of frog statues is that Sage
Mode is something that many ninja have attempted to learn over
the centuries and that very few are actually capable of
mastering it. I mean, Rikudo Sennin is known as a Sage, is he
not? It's not entirely out of the question that he may have
been the first to use Sage Mode and/or Senjutu (which is likely
as he somehow subdued the Juubi when it was complete and roamed
free)

Yeah it actually does make a lot more sense for Rikudo Sennin to
have created it

It's possible that he didn't create senjutsu nor sage mode, too.
As far as I can remember, he's credited as the father of
Ninjutsu and that genjutsu is derived from his techniques. He
obviously learned all of those at some point in his life, and
given the age and experience of some creatures (such as the
frogs) it's likely that he was simply the first human to mimic
the ways of certain animals and to attempt to learn how to draw
natural energy from them, so he probably was the first actual
sage... yeah idk

If sage mode was also nidaimes and got stolen by hashi i would
just cry for you man thats unfair haha but hawk is possible yee

Note the circular Eyes and very "sharp" lines ; possibly
representing a beak or wings

As we all know we don't have enough evidence to back up this
topic but the so6p must have had something to do it..
He was called the sage of 6 paths because he had sage mode and
that's how he battled the Juubi..
Hawk sage mode is also Possible

Well yeah ; what Sasuke says has some sense. The only people
called sages in Naruto have sage mode. What if the Rikudo Sennin
had many different Sage modes , all with their different
advantages and disadvantages in equal proportions.
- Toad - body and supplementary style fighting
- Dragon - All out OP attacking
- Hawk - Increased mobility maybe?
- Slug - defencive jutsu
just examples.

It wouldn't be a far cry by any means to think that Rikudo
and possibly even Hashirama had multiple sage modes combined
together or something. It would surely take a ton of the
different abilities that each one gives in order to single
handedly take down and seal the Juubi back when it was complete.
If it was down to one choice for Hashi, then I agree with
Tobirama that it's probably hawk sage mode
