Kaduna Declaration: Nigeria Deserve A Second Civil War

We make war so that we may live in peace” Aristotle. [Si Vis
Pacem, Para Bellum]
Human societies have waged war against each other for centuries
upon centuries. Wars can involve both entire nations and
individual tribes which can shift the balance of power. The
victor gains the spoils and, as some have put it, writes the
history books. Aristotle asserts that the purpose of war is so
that human societies can enjoy peace; that boundaries can be
established so that society may be well-ordered. War can involve
physical confrontation, but in a broader sense, it means
establishing the limits of tolerance and responding when those
limits are breached.
When German fought and lost the First World war, they became the
mockery of Europe. Their European counterparts took the whole
Africa, Middle East, Asia and South America and enjoyed the
spoils of their colonial conquest but on 1939, Germany took a
second gamble and lost the second world war also but this time,
they gain a great respect from the European counterparts who are
not willing to face such scourge of war again.
Nigeria fought a civil war between the Eastern Biafra Region and
the rest of the Country, the East lost the war and the rest of
the country took the spoils and have written the history of
victors all over it, Writing a heavily skewed constitutional
arrangement that's totally unacceptable. While this very
constitution is not working, some people especially from
Northern region of Nigeria insist on it, threatening that the
constitution must remain.
So many problems in Nigeria, from Niger Delta Militancy, to
different Ethno-religious crisis, MASSOB and even Boko Haram
militancy has been blamed on that very bad foundation, The
Constitution.
Nigerian leaders has taken different steps, set up different
Constitutional conferences but failed to implement it. In 2014,
Nnamdi KANU, started the agitation for the sovereign state of
Biafra and just like those before him,he was arrested and
charged for treason causing uproar among his supporters and
fallout of that has been an increased agitation and call for
restructuring from some quarters especially the Southern Region
and a call for retainment of the present constitution by the
Northern region. The whole imbroglio has led to a call by
Northern youths threatening Igbos to Leave the North on or
before Oct 1,2017. Their call has received tacit endorsement by
most of their leaders whose wish is only to tell Igbos
especially and other Nigerians that they can't remain in North
while their brothers in East call for Self determination. The
quit notice has threat of bloodshed written all over it but no
one should be scared about it anymore. I want to assure
Nigerians that building of Nationhood and division are
similar,in that both requires bloodshed in most of the
circumstance.
Nigerians should prepare for sacrifice of blood, but this time,
it will be so bloody that those who will remain in Nigeria will
see the need for Justice.
Nigeria can afford to lose 6million lives including me. It's
better for us to remember that those who died in 1967-1970 do
not have two heads and thousands who are dying in Syria are
humans too. Bloodshed is now clearly the only option left to
Nigeria to determine her future. I am therefore calling on Igbos
and others living in the North to avoid the temptation of
returning home because of the threat of Arewa youth, let them do
their worst.
Those who make peaceful change impossible, make violent change
inevitable.
Nigeria deserve a second civil war, so that she can live in
Peace and Justice.
