       In the year 1949, Saab company came into automobile
       manufacturing. Previously the company was into the field of
       aircraft manufacturing. Svenska Aeroplan Aktiebolaget known as
       Svenska Aircraft Company introduced its first vehicle named 92.
       In the year 1955, second car was released with three-cylinder 33
       horsepower engine and gained popularity in the market. The
       company increased its production by the end of the decade.
       During 1960s, Saab introduced sport coupe named Saab 96 and this
       model was under production for 20 years. The company again
       launched Sonett II and Saab 99 in the same decade. The turbo
       models released by Saab got a grand success in the American
       market.
