Graduates 12,811 Students, 271 Emerge With First Class from UNIL

[font=Verdana]The University of Lagos, UNILAG has disclosed that
12,811 students will graduate from the school during its 50th
convocation ceremonies which is scheduled to hold from April 1st
- April 5th, 2019. A total of 12,811 students will receive their
degrees, diplomas and certificates at this year’s convocation.
[/font]
[font=Verdana]Seven thousand four hundred six will receive first
degrees or diplomas, while 5,405 will receive postgraduate
degrees.[/font][font=Verdana]271 students would be awarded
first-class degrees, with 56 are from the Faculty of
Engineering. 2,277 students would receive second class upper
degrees while 3,116 would get second class lower degrees.
1,197 will receive third-class degrees and 131 graduating with
pass degrees.[/font][font=Verdana]3 students emerge as best
graduating students with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of
4.96. [/font]
THere names are Ogechi Ekeh from the Faculty of Pharmacy,
Oluwaseyi Adeyeye from the Department of Insurance and Daniel
Ogbechi from the Department of Business Administration.
Honorary doctorate degrees would be conferred on the founder of
Zenith Bank, Mr Jim Ovia; former Minister of Works and Housing,
Mr Lateef Okunnu; and General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and
Miracles Ministries, Dr Daniel Olukoya.
Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo is expected to deliver the
convocation lecture titled, ‘Nigeria Rising: The Path to
Prosperity.’
