Corps Member and Girlfriend Reportedly Crushed to Death on Their
Way to Asaba For Clearance

A Corps member, Emetor Ikenna Gospel and his Girlfriend
identified as Jennifer Ojo, a final year Student of the Federal
University of Technology Owerri, reportedly died on Monday
following a ghastly accident that occurred on their way to Asaba
along Owerri/Onitsha Road.
Emeka who is said to be the only son of his parents was driving
down to Asaba for his NYSC mandatory clearance when his
girlfriend reportedly tagged along so she can stop by to see her
sister, it was gathered that Emeka was allegedly driving on a
high speed when he lost control of the vehicle and ran into a
packed trailer.

A friend who took to social media to mourn him, narrated how he
was supposed to embark on the journey with them, but changed his
mind after his appointment in Asaba was terminated. He further
explained how Emeka's girlfriend requested to tag along.

He said, he received a call from a Police Officer and was told
his friend had an accident, he took three other of his friends
and rushed down to Ozubulu from owerri where the accident took
place, on getting there, they were told that the victims died on
the spot and were conveyed to the mortuary.
Emeka was supposed to complete his NYSC programme by November,
while Jennifer was writing her Final year exams in FUTO.
