He stretched out and yawned. Just waking up from a two hour
power nap. He slowly pushed himself up, using the trunk of a
nearby tree as leverage. While standing he stretched and
twisted, feeling his back pop and crack several times. He was
sore and had no idea where he was. Then it hit him, he had run
from home, into the woods yet again. It'd be the first time he'd
run away, but not his first being in these woods. He rolled his
neck feeling it crack and pop. His body slowly waking up and
even getting ready. He stretched up now, his back cracking as
well as his spinal cord. With a slight sigh he slumped over, but
stood fully erect again. He was only nineteen, but he was tall
for his age. Standing at 5'11" and being fairly muscular
although the three shirts he was wearing didn't help to see it.
Then he cracked his knuckles his hands cold and somewhat even
numb, but it was now going away. His hair short and black,
ruffled in the front, but still pretty stable and patted down
was the rest. His really worn, light blue jeans giving him easy
mobility, but still constricting somewhat let his legs move
without excerting himself. His pants held on by a belt and
something clinged on them it was a fairly sized sheath, carrying
with it his only means of defence or protection, however you put
it. The blade was a hunter's blade, but not a normal one it was
black and had serrated edges, but still was different from
normal blades it was more inept when used by a rookie. Although
Jakob hadn't been a rookie with this knife since his dad gave it
to him back when he was ten. His black running shoes adding to
mobility kept his feet safe from any unwanted weather. He rolled
his neck, picking up his rucksack and tossing it over his
shoulder. Another day, and a few more miles into the woods.

~Today was a day that Piper had nothing to do. No human
obligations, no fairy obligations. This was planned. A day all
to herself. No interuptions. She took herself to a heavily
wooded area to play. Being a fairy she was very playful.
Shrinking down to her natural state that morning she stood about
three and a half inches tall. Her wings spread from her back,
wings of water. Yet she could fly. Fairies prefered to be nude.
The most natural state they could be in. And that she was, her
long black hair frizzed out from her head. The hair was the
softest one would ever feel though. Her blue-green eyes full of
light. Half the day was spent playing tricks on the animals.
Dripping water onto the heads of sleepy animals. By the time
night fell she was so exausted, she decided not to go home.
Instead she spent the night in a tree, a leaf for a blanket.
When she woke she began to fly towards home ready to face the
real world again. During her flight something caught her eyes. A
man standing up from a tree, where he apparently slept. Flying
silently down she landed in the tree watching him. As he began
to walk, she flew after him silently. Playful instincts taking
over she began to flick water at him from her fingertips, then
if he was to look she would hide behind the nearest tree or
object to hide her small body.~

He sighed and shook his head. Grabbing his rucksack again and
tieing it around his shoulders and kept walking. Putting his
hands behind his head he focused ever slightly on the forest
around him. Then he chuckled lightly, putting his hands above
his head now blocking the water as it fell onto his hands now.
He didn't look back nor did he need to. He could already tell
what had caused the so little rainfall. A fairy nonetheless his
mom always warned him of the creatures in the forest, and he
hadn't always believed her, but after finding a few and actually
speaking with them he found they were far more interesting than
most of the books told. Although most of the so called myths
were fake and unreal some stayed true and others were proven
every time he saw them. He didn't look back still feeling the
water covering his hands, flicking them slowly he let the water
slip off and set his hands aside, now not caring whether his
hair got wet or not. He spoke to whoever it was, his voice
lighter than would be expected and he smiled after he stopped
walking. "Hello there water fairy, don't be so surprised I know
what you are. I've actually met quite a few of you and it's
actually quite fun hanging around you all. At least it's better
than the other humans, to me though. The others prefer solitude
and ignorance about their surroundings. I on the other hand
welcome you and would like to introduce myself." He turned
around slowly looking up at the tree he saw the fairy flutter
behind. A female fairy his smile went bigger and he spoke again.
"It's quite a pleasure to meet you, my name is Jakob, Jakob
Sollous."

~She had been caught. He knew what she was too. With a little
giggle she almost spoke, but knew he wouldn't hear her. Her
voice far to small in this form to be heard. She whisked from
behind the tree, and flew against his nose, then flew down to
the ground, and turned to water. From the water the shape of a
woman grew. It was just an image in water at first. Slowly, skin
grew replacing the water, and her image revealed itself as a
five foot seven version of her three and a half inch self. She
realized being in the presence of another she needed to cover
her nakedness, so she formed a pair of blue jeans, and a white
tank top shirt to cover herself. Her wings went into her back,
and her long soft black hair frizzed out. A soft smile spread
across her face as she looked at the man.~ I am Piper. I'm not
surprised that you are clever enough to figure out what I am.
Most would be if they just looked instead of closed their minds
to what is really out there in the world. You seem kind. It is a
pleasure to meet you. ~Fairies where naturally curious by
nature. With a little giggle she lifted up from the ground and
move closer to him, looking him in the face.~ So may I ask Jakob
Sollous, why are you here? Why did you sleep out here I mean.
It's quite cold. Most humans do not decide to fall asleep under
a tree.

He knew she was right and agreed with her one hundred percent.
He figured most people who actually found out figured it was
their imagination run wild or just their mind playing tricks,
when in truth it wasn't. What they were seeing was real to the
extent of being a full person. He smiled when she moved closer
and held her gaze after the question. "I'd love to, but it's
quite the short story no real detail or even interest, but if I
must I will." He was softspoken yet again and placed his hand on
her cheek lightly, the first ever physical contact he had had
with a fairy. He smiled anyway, feeling how warm she actually
was even though being made of something as cool as water. Then
he spoke again, lightly rubbing his thumb across her cheek. "You
see it started with my parents, I loved them and vise versa. One
thing though they aren't my real parents and had kept that
secret for years, until recently. When I found out I was filled
with grief, anger, and pain. Without knowing my true parents I
could never figure out exactly who I was. They insisted on
lieing to me still, even though I had figured out it was just a
lie." He smirked then winked at her, before letting his hand
down he slowly let a small breath out. The smell seemed herbal
or even natural. He kept her gaze and smiled, finishing his
story. "You see after figuring this out I had had enough of
their lies and decided to run away so to say, but moreso just
leave without knowing the truth from them even though I had
figured it out. So I ran into the only other place I considered
to be my home, the only other place I felt would be appropriate.
These woods, seemed to have taught me more than anything.
School, parents, friends, this woods has topped everything. So
the reason being was I quite enjoy the woods and all it's
wonders." He smiled and winked at her again, slowly turning
around breaking the gaze finally. He had started to walk, but
then stopped and looked back. "Would you care to join me?"

~Piper giggled at the touch. He was kind. She liked that. Most
would not be so kind, because of the closed minds they had. His
voice was soft and kind. She could find herself listening to it
for hours. His story was a sad one. The kind that made her want
to wrap her arms around him and hug him. But seeing as he was a
stranger, she didn't. Instead, she kept her gaze locked on his,
through his own short but sad story. He was hurting. He needed a
companion. She would be a companion to him. Even if he didn't
see her in her smallest most natural state. She would be there.
Her eyes lingered on his through his whole story, the touches he
gave her made her smile. So gentle. Finally when he drew his
gaze away, he turned to leave. She started to follow him. When
he stopped she nearely ran into him. Falling backwards, and
landing on the ground with a thud to avoid hitting him. With a
little giggle she nodded.~ I would love to travel with you. But
I must ask, that you don't stop right in front of me. It's a
common misconception that fairies are graceful. In fact we are
just the opposite. ~With a bright smile and a soft laugh, she
holds out her hand for him to help her up, as she places one
hand behind her on the ground to help push herself up.~

He smiled even though he knew she fell. Without even a second
glance he reached out and grabbed her hand in his own. It was a
strong grip, but he was being gentle all the time. He hadn't
given her the chance to stand up before putting his arm behind
her back and quickly lifting her up. Seeing as her warm was
wrapped around her body, lightly draped over her shoulder, and
his other arm was under her legs he seemed to be carrying her.
She was lighter than he expected, but he remembered she was a
fairy and only changed her size not her mass. He smiled and set
her feet lightly on the ground before spinning her around
slowly, unwraveling her arm and his own. He kept her hand in his
and smiled, leaning down and kissing the top side of her hand.
With another smile he looked up returning her hand. "I'm sorry
about that, I had forgotten fairies are only graceful when
flying, not quite when walking." He smiled again and then made
sure he was in front of her, but turned around so he could
continue speaking with her. His eyes always met hers and the
gaze never ceased, that is till he blinked, but still a fairly
good eye contact. "Enough about myself though." He slowly
stepped backward over and overgrown root and kept talking. Being
aware of everything that was to come in his path. "Tell me about
yourself, it must be pretty cool to control water or being a
fairy in general seems pretty fun."

~She giggled at the kiss to the hand. He was a charmer. It was
interesting. This human. His words cool and casual. She merely
smiled. "Well it does have its perks, but fairies tend to meet
an unfortunate end when bigger, more clumsy creatures come
around. Most don't even know what they did. Some can go their
whole lives not knowing how many fairies they have crushed.
Unlike the myth though, we do not need humans to believe in us
for us to exist. We where here before humans. We didn't need
their belief then, and that has never changed. But it is fun.
Being able to be so small. Cause mischeif. We do it often. It's
quite humorous. ~She giggled, and leaned up, rubbing her nose
against his.~ You Jakob Sollous are so adorable. I could just
eat you up! ~She flew into the air up to the tree, spraying
water all over the leaves and shook the branch. Amused as the
water shook down onto his head.~ It's a burden, only being able
to control water. Water can only do so much. Yeah you need it to
live, but it can grow boring.~She sighs and lowers to the ground
sitting crosslegged. Plucking grass and tossing it, to pick
another peice. She smiled up at him.~ I'm glad to have the
company though. It makes me very happy. ~She giggles and begins
to flick more water at him. Splashing small droplets onto his
face. At least she had good aim. She could hit anywhere she
wanted to with water. But having had it to use her whole life,
why would she not?

He listened to everything she said, slowing down and coming to a
stop. Feeling her nose against his he smiled, then watched her
fly up into the air. Seeing her spray water into the leaves he
knew what she was doing and then took off one of his shirts.
Holding it into the air above his head. Watching the rainfall he
smiled up at her still. He tossed his shirt aside as she flew
down and watched her sit down, slowly walking up to her as the
water hit his face. He shook his head and smiled at her. Still
knowing how boring just plain water can get he laughed lightly.
Blocking the droplets as they flew at him. He laughed with her
as she giggled. He slowly moved behind her and sat down hugging
her lightly. "I understand being bored, but I hope you know
there is something cool you can do with water. That will
actually never get boring." He smirked and held her hand lightly
in his own, slowly tracing and creating a small rabbit made of
water in the air. Watching it as it hopped slowly around in the
air he chuckled, still holding her hand he made the rabbit move
closer. Hopping right up to her it pressed up against her cheek,
in a light and watery kiss. Then with a chuckle he let go of her
hand, watching as the water fell onto her, getting both the
front of her shirt and pants get wet. He laughed and kissed her
cheek. "I'm really sorry for that, I didn't know that would
happen, but yeah I told you water isn't exactly boring. As long
as you have a good imagination you can do anything with it."
Smiling he looked at her and blinked. A little confused on what
to do he cleared his throat. Slowly his hand lifted up, holding
her chin he pulled her face slowly towards his and in an instant
he pressed his lips against her own. Pulling away slowly he
smiled. "So what was that about eating me up earlier?"
