Travels

Possessed of supreme and of unrivaled courage, he was blessed by
the gods, feared by mortals, and desired by all women who saw
him. He was a man who knew no law, respecred no quarter. His
skill in battle and his supereior intellect rivaled the very
names of Achilles, Odysseus, and Heracles, and 'twas written
that not even the mighty Ares himself could ever defeat him in
arms. As if the girt of the mighty War God wasn't enough, 'twas
also said that on his birth, the goddess Aphrodite kissed his
cheek, and secured his place forever in mortal memory. Blessed
by Aphrodite's divine touch, he grew into such a man that no
woman could deny him her body. For when it came to the Art of
Love, he knew no equal--his stamina far beond that of any mere
mortal man. His desires hot and wild, he could never be tamed.
Or denied.
Pacing the corridors of Olympus, his heart beat so hard in his
chest he could hear every thump. He seemed as if he was just
walking casually, but inside he was falling apart. Behind the
large marble doors which stood on the east end of the corridors
was a meeting; which would determine his fate. He hadn't
followed the orders of Zeus, and he knew no matter what, Zeus
was going to get his way. He'd never cared for him or even
really withstood his presence. The man was evil in every since
of the word. Zeus though he was all high and mighty, but Sundown
knew it was all in his head; without his bolt, he was nothing.
Like the rest of the gods on Olympus.
Sundown prided his abilities on the fighting terrain, it was his
life and his love. But when asked to do something that him
himself couldn't bare the thought; he had to disobey orders,
which was something he'd never done in his life. But the child
had done nothing and there was no reason for it to suffer
through death. He would rather himself dead then an innocent
child which has no say in anything. He'd taken the child and hid
it with a small family in one of the small villages out side of
Athens. He'd picked the family because they were normal and
really didn't stick out, he wanted the child to have the best
life it could. Without really knowing what it was. Sundown
really hadn't checked to see if the child was male or female, he
hadn't wanted to. He didn't need to get attached to the child
more than he had already had. So he handed the child off to the
new family, saying a small hymn before he left for good.
The sound of the large marble doors broke his memory and his
head snapped up as he stopped his pacing of the hallway. He took
in a deep breath as Athena walked out into the hall, she stood
there with her dark hair shimmering in the sunlight which beamed
through the glass windows. Sundown raised and eyebrow slightly
as she raised her hand, and her finger motioning her to come to
her. He swallowed the large lump in his throat as he made his
way down the long hallway. Stopping in front of her he spoke, "
Whats the verdict?" Athena smiled slightly and placed her right
hand on her hip, which was a pose she did often. " You are
sentenced to death." Sundown took in another deep breath as he
began to spoke she raised her hand and cut him off. " But, me
and a few of the other gods talked him into letting you redeem
yourself." Sundown raised his head slightly at the statement and
raised and eyebrow, " Im listening." he spoke as his eyes ran
over her face. Athena grinned.
" Find the child. And kill her."
Before Sundown had a chance to argue Athena had sent him to
earth, he laid on his stomach in the middle of an alley. Her
voice came to his head, " Don't fail me a second time Sundown.
This is your last chance." Sundown cursed and closed his eyes as
he tried to get back to Olympus. She'd taken his powers, " Oh,
just fucking great." he growled as he pushed himself off of the
ground, running his hand over his shirt wiping the dirt off.
His head began to pound as the blood streamed down his face. He
brought a hand
to his head and felt the liquid as it left his body, " Blood.."
he shook hishead, not once in his life had blood ever left his
body, he was a warrior.. and a damn good one at that. And the
ground beat his ass, cursing he grabbed the bottom of his shirt
and wiped at the wound; it stung. He winced slightly, "fuck."
With his powers nearly nothing could pierce his skin, but now
that Athena had taken them, he could be wounded. He wasn't
liking this one bit. Closing his
eyes he began to walk out of the alley way. He had no idea where
the hell he was, or what the child looked like at this point in
its life.

The streets were crowded, with large machines. He'd only ever
heard of them, never actually seen them with his own eyes. The
word, " car" whispered from his lips. He stood on the sidewalk,
watching as the large beast drive past him, amazed with the way
they moved. He closed his eyes for a bit as the piercing pain
from the wound on his head sent a pain down to his eyes. " Gods.
" he growled as the pain began to subside. He took a deep
breath, he didn't know how long he was going to have to be here
on earth, but he didn't like it already. He moved from his spot
on the sidewalk and began making his way down the street. He
wasn't even sure what continent he was on. A group of women
walked passed them, he could hear them whispering and giggling
as there eyes were glued on him. He raised an eyebrow slightly
as they passed him. He needed to know where he was, that was a
good start. He took a deep breath, there was a vender on the end
of the block, he made his way to him. " Um.. Excuse me.
Civilian?" the scruff, greasy mans eyes met Sundowns, "
Civilian? Kid go bother someone else. I'm working here." Sundown
was slightly offended by the word Kid, he was not a child, at 25
Sundown stood 6'2, jet black hair and eyes blue as the sky. He
bit his tongue though, if he wanted information out of this man
he'd better play it safe. " Do you know where I am? What, what
is this place?" The man laughed, a slight cough leaving his
lips, probably from all the years of smoking he had under his
belt, the mans Oder was cigarette smoke, and it was burning
Sundowns nostrils. " Where you are? This is Jersey. Maybe you
should lay off of the drinks. Sad when you wake up and forget
where you are." the man started mumbling to himself as he pulled
a hot dog out of his cart and onto a bun for the woman next to
him. Sundown didn't want to waste anymore time, so he patted the
mans arm and kissed his forehead before he left. A tradition in
Athens, as Sundown made his way down the street; the hot dog man
was still speechless from the forehead kiss he had just
received.
" Jersey" he continued to repeat the name over and over again.
He wasn't quite sure what country that name was located. " I
need to catch up on my geography." He shook his head as he
walked down the sidewalk, the streets were busy and riddled with
cars and trucks. The sidewalks were jam packed with people. This
was something Sundown was not used to, he normally was a loner,
and all these people were just making him anxious. He didn't
know if someone was just going to come out of no where and
attack him. He took a deep breath trying to calm himself. He
looked around at the people, there was such a diversity in them,
it was quite beautiful. In Athens and Olympus, He was pretty
much the diversity. Most of the people were blonde, and his jet
black hair stood out. But he didn't care, he liked being
different, he didn't like blending in with the crowd; never had,
never will. He keep trying to run the child's face through his
head again, where was he going to find here. She obviously had
to be in Jersey, or Athena would not have left him here. But the
thing is, he didn't know how big Jersey was, and not a name or a
face to go off. What was he suppose to do? Did Athena think he
was psychic? Did she think her dropping him in this place with
nothing but the cloths on his back was going to make the job
easier? Sometimes he didn't understand Gods, but most of the
time he didn't want to. He growled slightly as he continued to
make his way down the street.
