Story Missions

Story Missions are arcs that take the characters outside of
their mundane lives, and put them in the midst of real world
conflict. Upon leaving for the mission, you won't have access to
your village facilities anymore. No new jutsu, no healing. After
fights, health heals to 1/2 max HP upon start of a new topic.
Healing can still be performed by medics and those with first
aid knowledge.
Checkpoints in Story Missions do not work the same. It isn't
pass or fail, it's pass or suffer. Something will happen to you
if you fail your checks, but you won't simply fail. Story
missions will have multiple parts, so the initially accepted
mission will only be part of your struggle/reward. Story
Missions can get easier or harder as you progress, so be careful
taking one.
The Mission creator will alert people of the effects of their
rolls as they take them, which will be up to the players to
weave into the story until the next checkpoint.
Lastly, Story Missions have grand rewards at the end, and
therefore require double the word count to pass checkpoints.
It'll include all participating parties' words, so don't feel
compelled to write in paragraphs. Take your time. (Just to make
sure the missions aren't hurried)
