B3 Day 4 - Exam Prelude

"Well you all have made it. This course load has come to a swift
end and we are going to cover the final two topics today. Which
means next time we meet it will be for examinations."
Sensei Tetsu pulls out a small piece of paper.
"Though it is possible to master all five elemental natures.
There is only one that you will have an affinity for. This
affinity is easiest for you to learn how to wield as it
naturally runs in your system. The five elemental natures are:
fire, wind, earth, water, and lightning. Upon giving you this
piece of paper one of five things will happen."
He holds onto the paper in front of the class causing the paper
to wrinkle in his hands.
"It will Wrinkle if you have lightning elemental affinity. Be
split in half for wind. Become damp for water. Turn into dirt
for Earth, or simply burn to ash if fire."
Tetsu passes around the chakra paper to each person in the room
allowing each individual to have their own paper just in case
the paper were to get destroyed by one of the two destructive
options.

Sen'rei eyes the paper on her desk, careful not to touch it yet.
She was greatly interested in what the results would be and felt
that keeping herself in suspense would only serve to heighten
her excitement once she finally did find out. She watches
Yoshiro to see his results first.

Yoshiro received his piece of paper. A moment would pass as it
sits on his desk before he casually scooped it off the table
into his hand using his thumb and index finger. After applying a
bit of pressure the paper would lose it's whitish color turning
into a darkening brown color before falling away into dust.
"Earth element, huh?"

"Earth is a powerful element. It's very sturdy."
Sen'rei smiles at Yoshiro, glad to see that her friend had an
affinity with what she thought was a fitting element. Finally,
she turns to her own paper. She picks it up between two fingers,
squeezing lightly. The paper immediately reacts, turning a pitch
black color. Sen'rei's eyes widen as the surface of the paper
bubbles and melts, coating her fingers in a thick slime-like
substance. It finally evaporates into the air.
"Oh my. Sensei didn't mention a reaction like that, did he?"

"That's odd... maybe it was defective?"
Yoshiro's eyebrow on his right side extended higher into the air
in curiosity. Before he swipes another one from a student who
found out they were lightning element before giving it to
Sen'rei to see if she could get a real result for what element
she really has.

"Thank you."
Sen'rei grabs the paper at the corner this time, hoping it'd
make a difference of some sort. It starts to blacken again, but
this time the paper starts to get wet before it melts.
"It did it again. Though, I believe my affinity is for water."

"Water, Earth, and Fire seem to be the most common elements. I
was hoping for wind sense it is one of the rarer elements."
Yoshiro thinks of his eldest brother who has the lightning
element before focusing back towards his teacher who is prepping
the board for something new.

"The last thing we will be covering is genjutsu. It is important
to know that the hardest part about dealing with ninjutsu is
figuring out that you are in a genjutsu. You see the art of
genjutsu is the art of illusion. The best way to detect genjutsu
is to keep a keen eye on the area and look for differences
between what is and what should be. A persons mind cant
replicate the real world exactly causing splinters in reality.
It either being a loop where a single tree keeps repeating
itself or just an entire world that is completely different from
your own. After that you will need to focus your chakra and
break yourself out of the illusion. Alternatively you can also
have a teammate strike you and free you from an illusion.
*Wisdom is the skill to battle genjutsu. Once you notice the
genjutus in character you will need to roll tell you break
genjutus like any other roll.*

Sen'rei lifts her hand with a question.
"Sensei, would it be possible to strike yourself to break out of
a Genjutsu?"

"It depends on the genjutsu. If you are within the realm of the
genjutsu your mind will hurt itself wont be sufficient. Only an
outside force that jolts you awake would be able to free you
from such a genjutsu. I strongly recommend that you avoid
crippling ones self within an illusion."
"Is there any other questions about genjutus or any other
lessons we have covered up to this point?"
