Personal Stats
By: Pluribus Date: February 25, 2019, 1:08 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
Experience - Determines how close you are to reaching the next
level. all lvl 1 ninja start at 100 exp. The requirement
increases by 5 every time you level up. After every level up, a
ninja gains 10 ap to be distributed however they wish.
Experience is gained by completing missions, training, fighting,
and even studying (although it is much slower)
Awareness - Your scope of visability at any given time. Your
visibility will be 90 (as in degrees) by default. Depending on
things like activating a byakugan (which would raise it to 259)
or losing use of an eye (45 degrees). Keeping track of this
allows ninjas to be ninjas and take advantage of attacking from
blind spots and manipulating the battlefield to their benefit.
Inspiration - People are moved by many things in this world. A
hearty meal, defending others, or a rousing speech, people find
a way to break their limits time and time again. Depending on
how inspired one feels, they will perform feats they themselves
would be impressed by. All stats increase by 10 per inspiration
point held. Inspiration lasts until the end of a topic.
Speed - How fast a person moves will be determined by their
natural training and the gear they are wearing. Speed is
separate from base stats, as by default, everyone gets 30.
Meaning that if running for a single post, the person would run
30 meters during combat, and 60 meters out of combat. Gear can
weigh one down and make them slower and jutsu can increase speed
as well. Speed does not determine striking speed, as it is
different from gathering your strength effectively enough to
cause harm. But if you wanna flail your arms like noodles, sure,
go ahead and use speed for that.
Class - Ninja are given specializations not by design, but by
nature. People become fascinated with particular things about
all others and put their focus on that to be an effective and
fulfilled person. People find other interests and hobbies as
well, but one's passion will remain so, especially the more
invested the become with it. Professions are usually found among
chuunin, since being a genin is still a time of grasping the
ninja world itself. However, some genin who really mature push
themselves to be above the rest can be found studying into a
profession.
Initiative - No ninja ever wants someone to get the drop on
them. Through special training, some shinobi can quickly react
to surprise attacks and stumbling across traps at the beginning
of battle. This allows the shinobi to have the first true strike
of the scenario, bypassing all surprise action created by
someone with a lower initiative. It's a more minor stat, but in
this world, ninjas strike to kill and kill quickly. The first
strike might make all the difference.
Proficiency - This is how skilled you are in your profession and
determines what kind of abilities you are capable of grasping in
that particular profession.
