Personality: A young man with a creative but accurate mind. He
keeps his personal feelings to himself, as they are for his
knowledge only. Through this, he's found a sort of self
motivation bred by a consciousness inside himself that keeps his
most notable events on replay to remind himself why he does what
he does. His drives change with the moment, and whatever moment
it is, he lives for it. Bouncing from one job to the next. He
tends to rebel against one lifestyle or another eventually,
though it wears on his mind. It gives him a kinship to others

though, he's started seeing his empathy bite him time and time

[spoiler=History] Born on Suisen island in a small coastal
village, Maiku learned how to swim when he was just a toddler
like the rest of his clan members. He'd be encouraged to swim
more as he got older to brave new depths and meet more wildlife
for the family to identify and understand. He was around the
same age as his cousins, which gave him company during their
time out at the sea.
At a still very young age, Maiku moved across the sea to the
center of the archipelago, Kirigakure. His father had started a
small research center in his home to discover how shinobi and
nature can work better together, aside from summoning contracts.
His research is currently funded by Kirigakure at the condition
that he produce results for military use as well. This new
research became honey to the rebellious flies that lingered in
Kirigakure. Time and time again, their abode was infiltrated,
sometimes robbed, by unknown parties.
Whatever the plot, it didn't become dangerous until someone
assumed the Yume clan was bestowed with a Kekkei Genkai in order
to get so many animals under their control. Maiku, being known
as the youngest of the nuclear family became the target of what
was now their 10th disturbance. In his attempt to flee in the
midst of their family's wildlife reserve, he found himself
stumbling into the water. He knew he could swim well, but yet he
started to flail about and become consumed with water. He'd lost
consciousness from that point until awaking back in his home,
accompanied by his immediate family and two Kirigakure shinobi.
The thieves had been apprehended, allowing Kirigakure to get a
lead on those responsible, leading to their eventual arrest.
Maiku had survived by leading the pursuers to the water, where
piranhas had their way with them. They'd formed a bed for the
sinking Maiku and rose him to the surface, awaiting any familiar
presence.
Maiku entered the academy serving as the first subject to bind
their shinobi schooling to a pet. With the mounting fear from
his family, it become necessary they protect their research and
family. As Maiku was born small, his father saw it fitting he be
given Niebi (which means second shrimp) and would watch over
their growth. Now Maiku goes everywhere in the village, school,
and around his house while carrying Niebi.
