       Yes. It is possible
       There are 2 key factors to consider
       The constraints & limitations of your Accounting Software
       The person assigning the Tax Codes and the person doing the Data
       Entry
       I have come across companies who prefer to "stick" to the old
       Tax Codes as they do not want to create new challenges for the
       accounting department
       This is their choice
