       Donation to Chinese Temple

       My friend's company donated RM3,000.00 for a religious function
       in a Chinese Temple.
       The MD is a committee member for this Temple
       Do they need to account for GST (Deemed Supply)

       I spoke to a GST Consultant
       This is what he mentioned
       "Does the transaction  have any commercial element
       If no,  there is no need to account for GST"
       You may want to get a 2nd opinion
