       Demo for Approved Software for GST Malaysia

       Recently my friend asked 3 local accounting software vendor to
       do demo at his office
       Software approved by KASTAM
       All 3 software got problem on GST
       GST03 ok but GAF and TAP File never follow GST Software Guide
       My friend ask the Vendor why GAF not working but the vendor say
       GAF not important so my friend ask the software vendor to put in
       writing so he can send to KASTAM but the software vendor scared
       to do this
       My friend advise

       When you want to buy accounting software don't be afraid to ask
       lots of questions & see for yourself if GST03  & GAF & TAP File
       working

       I have conducted over 200 GAF Hands-on Training sessions and I
       have seen so many GAF files that  has 1 or more issues
       Common issues
       -----------------
       1. Special Characters which causes GAF to go out of alignment
       when opened in Excel
       2. Blank mandatory fields (i.e. BRN Number)
       3. Fields containing incorrect information (i.e. BRN Number
       appears in Invoice Number field)
       4. Missing K-1 Number for Imported Goods in P Record Element
       5. Currency Code in GAF does not comply with ISO Currency Code
       6. Record Counters in F Record Element does not match with the
       actual count for P, S, or L Record
       Element
       7. F Record Element field no. 11 not equal to 0
       8. GST03 generated from GAF (P and S Record Element) does not
       match with the GST03 submitted to JKDM. (could trigger an audit)
       9. Missing Account Balances in GAF when compared to Trial
       Balance generated from the Accounting
       Software
       10. Tax Base and GST Amount for the same Purchase Invoice
       appears as 2 lines
