The Cascadian Government inherits the same system of government
as the United States, with the same Legislation and laws. Only
one difference is evident, where the Vice President is replaced
by the Head of state, which is picked by the president as an
important figure from recent political history. The head of
state officially represents Cascadia abroad, while also serving
as the presidents aid, ready to serve if the president is unable
to.
The Cascadian Republic is divided into 5 states, Washington,
Oregon, British Columbia, Idaho, and Vancouver Island. You will
also notice that these are listed in order of most to least
population. Note, the top section of Idaho was split, following
the Washington/Oregon Border. The top half belongs to
Washington, and the lower remains Idaho. The following are the
capitols of each state. Note that Washington has a normal state
Capitol, along with the national Capitol of Seattle.
Washington-Spokane
Oregon-Portland
Montana-Helena
Idaho-Boise
Wyoming-Cheyenne

History
World War 2 ended abruptly after the German Forces had began to
invade France. All nations had a large meeting where the Treaty
of Strasbourg was signed. This ended World War Two, and brought
peace. However, during the war, many regions voiced different
opinions about the war. Some wanted to aid those invaded, some
wanted to stay out of the conflict, and some even wanted to join
Hitler's cause. This, along with the Great Depression, Split
America into many nations. The Cascadian Republic adopted all
former American Laws, and even Adopted FDR as president. The
only difference between this government and America's, is this
replaces the Vice President with a President selected Head of
State, which represents the nation to other nations, and fills
all Vice President duties.
