Handlebar and grip options for MT01
By: Breham Date: April 15, 2021, 11:52 am

Since getting the bike, the only area I keep coming back to
changing is the handlebar set up.
I like the position and the diameter of the standard handlebars,
but don’t like the colour or the grips.
I have replaced the rubbish mirrors with some CNC bar ends which
are brilliant and also having the clutch and brake reservoirs
with Rizoma black ones.
I want to replace the handlebars with black handlebars, black
levers and some new grips. Unfortunately looking at Rizoma
website the don’t do any for the MT01 and struggling in line.
Love some recommendations.
Many thanks, Rich

Non standard sizing...like a fatbar....and it means changing
hydraulic lines etc...Additionally, I dont know how your bar
ends are fixed but most after market options dont come with
Yamaha's captive thread inside the bars...another reason why
they aren't the "usual fayre" affair....
Just get your standard bars painted/powder coated is my advice.
Its alot more faff than you might expect!

Well after getting the bill for new pads and braided hoses I
think any idea of changing handlebars will not be happening.
Good news, the brakes are amazing now.

you can get shims on flebay to take the 25mm risers down to 22mm
and that gives you a wider choice of bars
