Stuffed up the QR fuel line fitting from the underside of the
tank. A new one from Yamaha is integral with the short piece of
rigid hose... here in OZ $170 and a few months delivery from
Japan. So ... I buy some standard QR fittings with hose barbs
and fit to some rubber hose. Darn things wont fit ... the male
spigot on the tank QR is too long and a standard will not fit.
Anyone been down this path ??? Thx Steve

Shit eh. I (think) recall from old forum that any breakage here
was a problem. Gather you mean the spigot from the fuel pump. If
its the hose sections maybe have a look online at ebay usa for
bits from various models like stratoliner and xv1700 etc.

Hi Graeme nah its the female QR fitting. Last time off I got a
little impatient and they are quite tight. Ended up I've had to
file a couple of mms off the length of the spigot to make
standard fittings connect. Not such a bad thing since I like to
replace fuel fittings often anyway and its cheaper with standard
fittings. Love those pics of Philip Is. I'm in Brisbane and we
have nothing like that here ... best we can do is the run up to
Mt Glorious with eyes wide for police !! Cheers

Right, so just a bit of filing, good to know. Thanks, the island
is fantastic. I am near Omeo and of course its the best
mountain roads all round. But its gotten so you cant hoon around
any more, more traffic more cops, so riding the bike to its best
at a track makes more sense. At the other end of the scale, we
have endless fantastic dirt roads too and I have sold the drz400
and pick up the new wr250f 2021 on monday.
       Bloody wet up your way!
