       Exhaust pipe needed
By: Claude Date: June 25, 2020, 7:25 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
I just bought a 2007 MT01 which the front exhaust pipe is
slightly scratched/dented (from previous owner's car bumper...)
about at the same level than the bike's horn.
Because I would like my bike to gain back its original
"virginity", I could replace this pipe.
       1) Does anyone here have this part available?
       2) Do you know if this part could be sanded to lower the visual
       impact?
       Thanks!

I'm pretty sure the part you're talking about is a cover panel,
as the actual exhaust is mild steel underneath. It should be
repairable and you may still be able to get it from Yamaha.
Have you tried a search? If it's part 17 on the diagram here:
  HTML https://www.motorcyclespareparts.eu/en/yamaha-parts/2009-mt01-motorcycles/exhaust
then it's still in stock to buy new.

       Nikk, that would be great!
To be honest, I just bought. I picked it up fast (to not miss
this sale) but I stored it at a friend's place; I'm moving in my
new house in 3 weeks and it's only after this I'll have time to
give the MT01 a deeper look.
I noticed those scratches when I picked it up at the owner's but
I did not give a long look at the pipe; as you wrote, it could
       be a replaceable cover.
       Thanks!!

I have a full spare standard exhaust that came with my bike from
new when the dealer replaced it with an Akrapovik

       Where are you located?
Do you want to sell the OEM system as a whole or willing to part
       it off?

Location is Manchester England, exhaust & ECU to go as a
       complete set as pictured above

Just curious: why selling OEM ECU?
Does Akrapovic slipons comes with a remapped ECU?

I suspect the ECU will be a stage 1 as Macca has a full stage 2
exhaust on the bike so it will probably have a stage 2 ECU as
       well

Correct, Full Akrapovic has stage 2 ECU hence the standard ECU
       being available
