Since starting powerlifting I've backed off the cycling a lot
due to it screwing with my hip flexors.
I still get 2x5k runs in a week, which I drop pre comp. Still
affects my lifts but I'm no pro, so prefer to maintain my
fitness even if it reduces my lifts.
Also into hiking, camping, skiing and most outdoor stuff.
Currently in the process of buying a 38 acre farm (horses), so I
reckon a lot of my time will be taken up by that. May build my
own gym, but I like training with other people so... who knows.

Nice to see you on here Dylan!
How long have you been powerlifting for now? Had much success?

I've been competing for about a year (IPF, WSA and IAWA).
Switching from endurance sports to powerlifting was a big leap,
and took a while to get my hips mobile enough to squat! :D
I tend to come first in my class, because I'm the only one in my
weight category (74kg M2), but put my weight up to 77kg at the
start of the year to get into the 80kg class.

I've done a few things in my spare time outside of the gym.
Horse riding - didn't own a horse, a friend had two that she
wanted to exercise.
Scuba diving - qualified as a PADI adv diver. Did this for a
few year, but had an accident where I suffered from the bends
and spent 10 hours in a chamber, what fun!! Would like to get
back into this again.
Cycling - Been doing this on off for a few years, it's now my
main form of cardio. I have a road bike for the boring stuff, a
cross country for not so boring stuff, and a full suss for
downhill riding, most fun.

Between kids and work I don't have much time to pursue any real
hobbies.
However, I really enjoy cooking, both rustling up quick and
tasty meals during the week and making an effort at the weekend.
I managed to reach my 30s without ever having to cook regularly
but when I moved in with my now wife cooking became my
responsibility and I love it!
I'm also into craft beer, but am in two minds about whether I
prefer trying new beers or enjoying the ones I know I like.
Expensive and unhealthy hobby... but never mind.

We could almost be separated at birth. I far from a chef but I
love knocking up meals rather than buying them in. I like the
sense of accomplishment even with something like tonight's pizza
with onion rings, stuffed mushrooms and bruschetta. All from
scratch and 3verhone loved it all. And I've just unpacked my
father's day mystery box from beer hawk... Happy days. Didn't
even mind cutting the lawn and hedge

Your lawn and hedge reminds me that I forgot to add general DIY
and house/garden maintenance to my list of "hobbies". I do quite
enjoy it mind you.

I like Ale and Rum, nice rum, Ron Zacapa is a favourite although
a bottle lasts but a few days. Houston we have a problem..
I was gifted a Mavic 2 drone and it's ace, just about to build
an fpv quad and learn to fly that.
In the process of building a car to compete in the OSS
Championship hoping its ready for the last 2 meetings of the
year. All my own design, should make over 750kg downforce at
120mph according to the cfd I've done so it's going to be mega.
Kids and work take up most of my time, although have just done
the garden and used fake grass and it's ace.
