Chernobyl was comparable to around 400 Hiroshima atom bombs
though obviously many more died at Hiroshima due to the blast
wave. Seems there was incompetence and slopey shoulders on a
massive scale.

Shame I've cancelled my NowTV after GoT finished as I would have
liked to have watched this lol. I'll subscribe another time.
Apparently it had to be produced by a non-russian media company
in order for it to be correctly portrayed, as the Russians would
have dumbed the seriousness of it down. They attempted to cover
it up at the time, which was one of the main reasons why the
Soviet Union eventually collapsed.
I've watched and read a few things about Chernobyl, it really is
quite a fascinating yet harrowing story. I think Call of Duty
used it as one of there maps as well.

Conspiracy theory but probably an agenda to discourage the
future use of nuclear power so a massive rating will bring
people in. No Al Gores pish got the same rating back in the day.

A really in-depth fascinating series and story. When the sun
shines and the wind blows gently. It reminds me of Hull.

Just watched the last episode. One of, if not the best series
I've ever watched.
Apparently much of the filming was done at the decommissioned
nuclear power plant 'Ignalina' in Lithuania which is very
similar to Chernobyl.

I did wonder how they got so much detail into some of those
shots.
The ending was brilliant, loved how the put the court room as
the stage to reenact what happened in that room.
Those closing subs and images though where amazing, and
haunting.

I've just realised I've got a few days left until my NowTV pass
expires, excellent news! I can easily fit that into my schedule
lol
