       Chernobyl

If anyone is aware of the story and what went on there, or even
better if you don't, there is a brilliantly shot mini series on
at the moment called Chernobyl. The filming is spectacular imo,
       it's a must watch.

Will have to check that out. Saw a series of docos very 'vice'
style one of which they visited some people who are actually
still living in the exclusion zone. Old couple were there lived
there all their lives. Picking mushrooms the size of watermelons
       lol

I remember someone posting a link to someones Photos, where I
guy had visited Chernobyl on and take photos. Its amazing how
many of those scenes have become iconic. Fascinating place.
Will definitely have to give this a watch

I’ve watched the start of it, the ratings are really good for
it. I thought just using English accents in it was interesting
lol. BTW I’m expecting for some reason to get flamed on that
comment. Was Chernobyl full of English workers or something?
       😄 I’m guessing not

Cant believe you said that. lol, joke
Yeah, it's made for non ruskies, there are plenty of Russian
accents in it, I don't think it detracts, the Russian recordings
of the fire station calls are haunting.

I think its a case of either actors that are good, but speak in
English, or Russians that cant act. I think its obvious what
most would want. Also, a lot of it is a touch technical and a
lot if small things that I dont think would directly translate
       to the screen and language.
Overall though, the mini series is one of the best. The
Radiation victims in the hospital scenes are haunting. As well
of jsut how terrifying radiation damage can be. Also, its anger
       inducing at times.

Yeah its definitely better than having the actors put on fake
Russian accents. Watching it now, got me hooked.
Does it contain any real footage at all or was that a no go back
       then with the Soviets?

Don't remember any real footage used. Though many scenes clearly
reinactments of real footage, if that makes sense.
